Bitcoin is the first of its kind. Its like anything else that comes out first. What do you call a tissue paper? Probably kleenex. What do you call a cotton swap, probably a q-tip. It is widely used and thus the brand name actually replaces anything else. I think that is what we see with Bitcoin

Because it is the first cryptocurrency that i heard about.
It is simple to use, you can easily buy sell something via bitcoin.

well the answer is pretty clear in my opinion first of all it uses some of the biggest companies and secondly its really popular and has a big community

it is clear if the bitcoin be the first choice, because bitcoin is a major cryptocurrency and became a pioneer of the creation of various altcoin
The Bitcoin nowadays is the example for the other altcoins as you noticed, it's successful cryptocurrency and it's success encourage the others to imitate its way, so i think that's the main reason that people use Bitcoin more than other cryptocurrencies

Well many people chose bitcoin is because the fact that bitcoin is one of the first cryptocurrency available
And because the fact that the price of bitcoin is waaay higher compared to the other currency
So its normal for people to choose btc and not altcoins

Oldest, most secure (in the world), easy to use, many audited wallets available, easier to spend than others, many shops accept it, many ATMs, etc.
Simply put, BITCOIN is NR1. Period.

Being a bitcoin trader I need to stick with highest volume generated instrument. Because the less volume pairs may be nominated into a single direction based on a single or group of people. This is the reason I prefer to stick with bitcoin compared to other digital currencies.

i like it because its so easy to start using. its extremely easy to create a wallet. and when you send and receive coins its totally anonymous. you dont have to provide any real life info about yourself.

Bitcoin is being accepted by lots of new merchants everday and other cryptos are just depended on bitcoin price atleast for now. Bitcoin has potential to grow and as payment processor it has lowest fee that's why i love to do transactions with bitcoin.
That's right, and also Bitcoin's price is the highest comparing with other cryptocurrencies till now at least, so there is a lot of reasons to preferring using Bitcoin more than the other cryptocurrencies

mostly it is because all of other cryptocurrencies that you are talking about, came after bitcoin. and bitcoin has the most popularity among them. and that is why they are called "ALT"coins.
but another big reason, in my opinion, is the fact that most of the altcoins are copies of either bitcoin or each other without any actual useful feature. and also a great number of them are pump and dump scams which are going to get forgotten sooner or later when their big dumping time comes.

It's the biggest most well known widest used and the best. It carries the most value. It is Coke all others are discount cola... Not even Pepsi.

people use BTC more because more people use BTC, so they can use it in more places and BTC is more secure because it has more hash power and has been more tested in real life situations.
and BTC is decentralized, unlike some other centralized digital currencies

I don't know. I heard about some currency called altcoin, but I would believe it's the same concept as bitcoin.
There are more than 500 alts. Alt means alternative coins, as alternative to Bitcoin. Most of them are copies of Bitcoin with other name and slight modification, but there are handful that use completely new codes and algorithms that are not copies of Bitcoin code.
