people are getting way to hyped up over nothing and i promise you than at least 80% of bitcoin users do not even know what this is all about and most of them don't even know what ETF is!
that is why i say expect a sudden change because of how people act to these things but don't expect a big change.
and besides ETF's money is already injected and invested in bitcoin long ago.

What he meant by that is only sell if you are in some sort of emergency or need of funds don't sell it because you see that you are getting profit. And who even told you bitcoin is a currency it's not yet accepted in many places online, it may lot's of time but when that happens the price is going to reach new heights.

If bitcoin ever reaches $10,000 per bitcoin, you will NEVER see me selling for fiat paper money. You may however see me having a shopping spree at Overstock.com or TigerDirect.com or NewEgg.com! I will be buying things I want with my bitcoin profits DIRECTLY WITH BITCOIN, not selling my bitcoin for paper fiat. Hopefully by then there will be many more options, perhaps even Amazon.com will be accepting bitcoin for goods and I can have my shopping spree there.

Point being, selling bitcoin for dollars seems counterproductive. Why convert your paper fiat currency into sound value storing superior bitcoin, only to sell all of your superior bitcoin back for worthless antiquated fiat currency again? Why not just spend the bitcoin itself to buy what you want instead of taking a loss by converting back into dollars which will inflate away eventually anyway?

You convinced me. BTCitcoin is the future.

Yes it would be different because the price would be much higher. Since no one's selling their coin, the price can only go up because of the buyers. So we should be thankful to those people that hold tens of thousands of bitcoins but decided to hold their bitcoins for a really really long time.

You don't "have" to sell it since you can do whatever you want with your coins. It's absurd to assume that long term holders are waiting for the world war III to happen. That's completely out of nowhere. I think that most long term holders (like me) are very faithful to bitcoin's potential.

This price ($1200) is nothing compared to how much the bitcoin's price will be in the future.

Maybe if I have enough money and I invested to bitcoin, I will not sell what I have because I can see the big potential of bitcoin in the near future, like the old users of bitcoin they are enjoying their profit now because they have their bitcoin with them and it was doubled or tripled price. Like what they have, we can also have those thing if we are going to wait like them. I guess as long as you have enough to spend for your daily needs you can keep your bitcoin like what I am doing now, keeping it, knowing that I do not have money there so I will not be tempted to get it.

I agree with some points. Selling Bitcoin is the good way to make Bitcoin greater and stronger and more valuable. However, you must determine when is the good time to sell and how much Bitcoin shall you sell in a time. Moreover, we can still use Bitcoin instead of selling it and this activity will make Bitcoin have the prices

What's up with March 11? Where did you get that date? If it was from the 2013 incident, I'm sorry but things are different now. I think if you sell any time soon, you would miss the opportunity to sell them later at a much higher price. I don't trade my bitcoins at all, personally. I just hold them and I'm waiting for the time that I'm in need of fiat. Right now, I still have food on my plate so I don't think I'll be selling my bitcoins anytime soon. I'm having the feeling that I'll never sell my bitcoins ever because slowly, bitcoins are getting accepted by merchants.

I'm frequently tempted to trade all my bitcoins for $ when I see the price rise up to $1k but I read that it can rise up to $2k so I maintain at least $4k worth of bitcoins I too never show my wallet address just to be safe.

So leave at least $4k worth of bitcoins in your wallet because you'll never know bitcoin can rise up to $2k

It takes a very strong character, to ride from 0,01 usd to 1000 with BTC and not selling during that period of ups and down. It will probably continue that trend, when people get so excited and sure that new ath is coming, it usually backfires.

I think it is also a matter of setting a target. If your target selling price is $1,100, then today is already a good time to sell. But if you think that the price is going to increase further, you can set your target for a higher price and just hope that bitcoin continues its strong surge towards a new all time high.

that's what i do, even though I don't have a lot of bitcoins right now and I am not planning to buy more, I still hold everything I have because I believe the price is going to go to the moon in some time

The halvings of bitcoin and it's limited amount will makes the price of bitcoin keep up. so I think we do not have to sell all of our bitcoin, but just use as needed and use the rest for investment.
