90% of the coins dieing? I think it is too huge a number for about 90% of the coins to die all of a sudden is strange. The coins are in a dip and this does not guarantee that they will die like that.
the fact that the strongest will remain, the rest will be eliminated over time, not immediately. many will also lose their positions. We just have to watch and be alert..

How can you measure that project is dead? Without updates or news? Or there is no development progress? Or the coin is not traded on exchanges?

Right now there are really much than 10000 different coins, some of them are listed, some not, but in future I suppose there will be not more than 100. Some will die (~50%) some will cooperate with each other making a concern like Coca Cola (Fanta, Sprite, etc.)
we don't know the fate of the future of altcoin at all ...now there are a lot of Ico with projects that have good programs that are goals so that many investors join, but to the contrary today many scam projects stop without information ..
Maybe on Halving period when people realize that there crypto is not good as usual(CMC) Let's keep supporting there project

even though no one knows for sure the future of the altcoin, but I don't think that up to 90% of altcoins will die. maybe only a few altcoins will die because it's not clear the market, team, development in the future. my estimate of 50% of altcoin will now die in the future. For me to invest in ICO, I will first look at the project team, roadmap, ico rating, community and the bount manager. if all is fulfilled and get a good rating, then I will invest in the ico.

As long as those coins/tokens has strong value and can compete with others in the market, the existence absolutely will keep going on the market. I think its not happen so fast,but if we talking about future then,maybe small coins,clones will die but not 90% of all coins.The bad thing is that we have to many coins and investitions of peoples is spread all around,better if shit coins go out from market...
At this stage it is safer to invest in stable currencies. It's easier to see the top 10 in a coinmarket and invest less in each of them. So, in the crushing fall of the market, you can at least save something, and with growth you can win more. It is more profitable to bet 10 horses than 1 
This can not be happen. I agree some coins has been lost but that does not mean 90% coins will die ,there are many excellent projects are running and many are succeed.
There will be lot of coins to disapear for sure but there is also coins that can prosper and those are the coins based on long term fondation.
No, of course not, this simply can not happen, because many projects are now legalized in countries that are very responsible for such cases, I am sure that this will not happen, so just do not think about it.

I think actually it is not possible now. Because cryptocurrency market not a little now. Cryptocurrency market place is a big market place in the world at this time. So I do not think that 90% of altcoin will die.
Bitcoin just down for few months but it will not be permanent. It can say for market correction.

if you're confused about choosing a coin to choose from, try to choose 3-8 coins from the best CMC order. I also usually like that, ETH, BTC and XLM for the long term and the rest for scalping
if the case 90% , i think it not true , i mean 90% is huge ammount of altcoin , there are many altcoin with huge support will keep their price while bitcoin "bubble " price i think
