The increase in bitcoin now brings altcoin to move even though it is very slow but is much better than before, because the increase in the previous bitcoin did not affect altcoin to rise.
and it is possible that increasing bitcoin will now bring the altcoin season back, and in my opinion now is the right time to buy some altcoin that you think has good and profitable potential for the next few months.
Without increase bitcoin price never have chance for altcoin have higher price, many investor waiting when altcoin back to higher price but in other time bitcoin keep with lower. Very difficult situation hope with altcoin have higher price during bitcoin still with lower price and less interested of many investor to make bitcoin have higher price which happen on 2017 above $15k.

The market is very unstable. Coins go up and down every time. With the current market right now, I don't think that altcoins reached its dead end. Some altcoins still survive in this kind of market, and I think those kinds of altcoins will likely to more than survive but grow bigger in the future. Also, the price of bitcoin as it pumps will be the reason why investors will switch to altcoins, because they would not be able to afford buying expensive bitcoins.

However, not all of them will survive and that is why it is important to choose which ones to focus on Smiley
altcoin is likely to recover again when bitcoin prices recover, but you're right, only altcoin that is still active and being developed will recover from the current low prices.
but, I feel that focusing on just one altcoin is not the right thing.  maybe 2 or 3 altcoin is better than one of them.  like ethereum and litecoin.  both have great potential for pumps when bitcoin pump prices, or price recovery has begun.  but we don't know which altcoin has a greater potential in one of these coins. so having both coins is better than one of them
There are altcoins that can still fly but there are also altcoins that will remain dead. I let go all the bags of the shitcoins that I have before because it will lead me to a more losses. I still have altcoins but the altcoins that I hold nowadays are the potential ones because it has characteristics of being volatile, have high market capitalization and high 24 hr volume. The investment that I did is risky but I can manage the risks after all.

I think altcoin season will do come back, but it will not be as great as in 2017. Some coins might make show more than x10 growth, but generally altcoins will not grow for more than 5 times.

Looking at the market dominance, bitcoin covers almost 70.5% of the market trade as of time of writing. there is the need for altcoin recovery or it might spell doom for investors. i.e, people invest today on a new project and sell off tomorrow.
According to a wall street executive, Max keiser, he strongly believed that altcoins has reached there dead end and advised that everyone should focus on bitcoin. considering the fact that bitcoin is limited. there is the need for altcoins as the name implies, Alternative coins.

What is your say on this.

There's no doubt that investing in new altcoin through the ICO and IEO is a death trap because most of the time the value tends to dump substantially after listing. The entire market has been bearish for a while now, but those who are willing to take the risk can still invest in some promising altcoin. Bitcoin is not a safe haven as the value is also on the decline, I believe USDT should be a better option.

I do not think that such a statement is true. Altcoins are very diverse in their useful functions and Bitcoin in this regard is simply not able to replace them all. In addition, many altcoins in terms of functionality have already far surpassed bitcoin. The current situation with falling prices for altcoins is, of course, largely due to the price dominance of bitcoin. However, I do not think it will last very long. Over time, the market should solve this problem. Altcoins have not reached an impasse, they have been forcibly driven there, but they are capable of much more.

if we still don't see a strong price reversal, we still have to wait patiently by trying to continue to accumulate assets without paying attention to prices like following a staking program on a particular exchange. Domination will not change as long as nothing makes Btc sideway for a long time, we also need to wait without having to suffer too much loss.

I think the altcoins will rise again. The market is moving contrary to expectations. Prices will rise again when the majority of investors expect a decline. Everyone wants to make money but unfortunately some of them will lose.
Happy reading your writing about optimism that altcoin will rise again and move for renewal. It is undeniable that over the past few years altcoin has not shown an increase that can make investors feel unafraid of altcoin that may have been stored for a long time.
hope is always in crypto and I believe that in the future that is for the next year (2020), altcoin will start to grow and it's time for you to buy and hold back so as not to miss enjoying these benefits.

The cryptos market, like all markets, operates in cycles. There is, therefore, a strong likelihood that alts will regain strength at some point.

Bitcoin has dominated the market to a great extent. Bitcoin dominance needs to go down to 35%. The expected bullish season for the Altcoins may begin. We experienced a similar situation in 2017. Prices went up.

Looking at the current market on altcoins, there are positive signs that it is coming back as there has been bull movements on most altcoins

actually it's not a bad suggestion if someone recommends holding bitcoin for investment in the future, but I think investing with some of the top altcoins on the market is also needed, I'm still sure that we still need altcoin investments and most importantly investing with altcoin top and not with altcoin which is difficult to develop.
so far altcoin is still widely used for investment as well. maybe the time is not right yet to see the high price of altcoin again. but I am sure that altcoin will grow again, but it needs a process to get that price back to the best price

It is possible, however, I would not be so sure of that.
The altcoin market is rather doubtful, I mean that it is difficult to determine the point from which it will be possible to say that the growth has begun.

Indeed, over the past years, altcoins have fallen significantly in price, and people bought them throughout the year.
Therefore, for some people, growth will indeed be growth, but for others it does not even come close to repelling losses.

The altcoin teams are the greediest around the space and we need to start observing. All their bitcoin are kept intact and they are flooding the market with their coins to acquire more bitcoin towards the next run. There is no reason for the dump with some coin ATM, the sell off is high and a very low price, no investor in his right will be selling now, even traders are struggling. So I wonder how anyone can make good profit with these teams if they are not contain
This is the most candid write up I've come across recently. The problem with most altcoins is not even the bear market, is because of sell-off by the team members. The goal is to load up as much BTC as possible, some of them keep coming up with new projects. We just need to be careful which altcoins we hold for long term, and also to sell when price is up and not wait for the moon. Well, there is hope since a few are genuine.

That's the truth and that's what's really happens, investors are tired on investing on new coins, and they just focus on the top coins in the market, last year and this year alone, there are very few projects that prove to be profitable for investors.

Investors cannot go on investing in dubious projects, they will have n choice but to leave ICO and just focus on Bitcoin and the top coins in the market.
If we see lately it is true that new coins are less profitable or investors actually get losses from investing in new coins so they will prefer to play it safe to invest in the top coins and I think this is the right decision to reduce or avoid the risk of greater losses.
