Altcoins are much more powerful than bitcoin at the moment, and everybody should know that.
Maybe in a near future altcoins would be more important than bitcoin, well, at the moment they are. Bitcoin just has 30% of dominance.

There is tough competition for the whole cryptocurrecies and we can see that each new coin has their own unique focus and feature, it is an altcoin and they can't be compared to bitcoin but why it's a question if they can survive? As long as there are working devs on it, for sure it will survive.
In addition, dev should also do research after the coins they offer to the market. this must be done so that the coins have better functions in real life and not worse the crypto world.
That research you are talking should be done before they launch their project. They won't go into that project if they didn't did some research on the functionalities of what they are trying to offer to the community. And that's why they are trying to conduct a crowd sale to support their plans and get investments from the people who are believing with their project to implement what's on their road map.

Though bitcoin is dominating the cryptocurrency market since its introduction, there are still some altcoins performing well. There were more than 1000 cryptocurrencies get introduced since 2009.  Among them very few are operating and gained popularity. Altcoins are the best options of investments. They have potentials to have you good returns on your investments. Bitcoin volatility and rising price restricting investors to enter into bitcoin currency. Instead they are choosing altcoins for safe investment. So question of survival is out of date.

Altcoins will definitely survive even though bitcoin is getting its price pumping, there are lots of people who see the potential of growth in some alt coins thats why they use it, like monero, monero is a strong alt coin for many years now and its userbase continue to grow. Not all will survive but there will still be coins that if manage well will last for many years and might give you profit for believing in it.

The survival of any alt coin is actually based on the orientations and what such coin can offer the globe. When Btc came for instance, people never wanted to have anything doing with such an unrealistic project back then, today, the world is celebrating Btc.

Altcoins have the possibility to survive as long as there are investors. It's not on the hand of bitcoin even if bitcoin's price is higher than it's individual. Bitcoin will make altcoins survive because it is part of the community in cryptocurrency.

Of course, altcoins will survive and most likely even survive many coins that are now included in the top 10. Therefore, this question should not even be raised, because the answer to it will surely be!

I agree but some people raise these kind of questions mostly while altcoins are going down. Just getting opinions of others not bad. Actually good to see community belief.
Of course, we believe and we will believe, because without them we can simply forget about increasing our deposit, so I strongly believe that the violas will not die, but rather will be combined in harmony with bitcoin.

Altkoins will not just survive, they will be a trend in 2018. Bitcoin will not be able to grow as much as before. But altcoins can grow and many, especially new and little-known give good multiplication. And the old altcoins have good prospects. I personally do not hold more than 15% of bitcoin in my portfolio.

Altcoins has different purpose than bitcoin, they are use for some business transaction or other platforms out there and they are clearly existing because of the demand that people need those coins in order to avail or purchase some goods and services so i think altcoins will stay as long as bitcoin is there.

Not all alts will survive, but the best ones definitely will, and they'll thrive in this new cryptocurrency craze that has been taking most of our society by storm. We have the chance to be early adopters for most. Of course it's difficult to find the good one so make sure that you've prepare the worse if you decide to invest on altcoin

Of course, has no problems with altcoins. They are part of cryptos. If altcoins die means crypto die. 2018 will be the year of acceptance of cryptocurrencies by larger markets. More people will buy altcoins because they can't afford to buy bitcoin. Banks and traditional stock exchange will colapse soon if they are not embracing bitcoin and altcoins.

I think Altcoins will surely survive too. There are many altcoins and I believe some of them has a good potential to stay or even rise at the end of the year. Somehow, some will not survive but I'm sure that there are more altcoins that will survive and will last longer.
