altcoin is better than bitcoin. people dont know that thing. they just hear about bitcoin when say about blockchain or crypto. that is the point.

of course alt coins will survive if bitcoin survives. everybody should understand that there is direct relation with bitcoin and altcoins. if something happens to bitcoin then we lose all the crypto currency market.

Definitely, for some. To the refactored question "which altcoins will survive ?", I think one should start by looking beyond poloniex and dig into the purpose and applications of a coin for the long run.

Take IOTA for example. It's being used by companies because it solves an industry's issue that BTC can't solve and you can easily explain how to commoners without getting too complex.

On the opposite, I think you could put a question mark on altcoins that "just improve" what BTC is and can do.

I like this refactoring of the question. Altcoins are a mass graveyard of dead projects, some revived twice and even thrice, some just abandoned, others look like they are alive but will only suddenly awake and pump after 2 or 3 years. But which are the ones that will survive, which are the ones that will grow stronger, and which are the ones that will remain with us tomorrow, and ten years in the future?

And for Iota, great coin yes, but can they survive their bad reputation for trying to "cheat" people on their partnerships? Eth survived the DAO hack, but which other alt has the same strength?

Altcoins will live, as some of them are promising projects for some sectors of the economy.

Altcoins will always be around because trading altcoins is what makes you more bitcoins.  One bitcoin will always equal one bitcoin but if you own altcoins, you can trade to get more bitcoins.  You can't make more bitcoins from owning bitcoins.

actually it depends on the developer of the coin. if they have a good roadmap in developing the coins they develop, it will probably last a long time, but if not, I guess it will not last. not all altcoin can survive.
Definitely it is depends on a certain coin if it will survive. Some altcoins do survive because they push through to complete the roadmap and their project. Most likely those altcoins survive because they developed the project.

Yes it will but maybe less than half the number of all existing altcoins will make it through, then a lot of them will just crash and burn. But because of the volatility of cryptos, no one can tell or predict its survival. One article I read noted that for now, three altcoins have risen in value. Well, that's a good sign that altcoins will last.

They will survive eventually but only those smart and hard working projects that were founded to give some value to the world and not those that only exist to make some people get rich quick. One day all these shitcoins will be flushed away and no one will care about them anymore. Be sure to invest only in those altcoins you truly believe in and always do your own research

Altcoins has different purpose than bitcoin, they are use for some business transaction or other platforms out there and they are clearly existing because of the demand that people need those coins in order to avail or purchase some goods and services so i think altcoins will stay as long as bitcoin is there.

That will be the test of altcoins whether they can stand against of these. Fortunately for them, their investors didn't panic and just hodl their tokens until such time that they will proceed to sell it at a higher price.

While it would be fun to say that each and every alt coin will lead to riches, its very unlikely.  More or less, the ones with working products and a legitimate team are the ones that will help us acquire wealth in the not so distant future

Altcoins will definitely survive.  As with anything, the low quality coins with no vision and clear road map may not be around for too long.

Good quality alts will do well in 2018.

they will survive. in fact there are coins who are still rising eventhough the btc price and demands are on all time high.  Smiley Smiley
They must survive for bitcoin support because without them bitcoin is also nothing both are must for each other as now many altcoins going with very solid projects and have good future with solid devs and good communities
