I beleive some coin will surpasses bitcoin in the future. It would probably be some "made in China" coin, because they are hardware production and mining leaders. Having such resources they are able to create and pump something new or dump bitcoin

The age old question since the rapid growth of altcoins that started all those years ago.

The best answer I can come up with is, "maybe". But I will tell you something though, the cryptocurrency that might replace Bitcoin will not be Bitcoin Cash.

Why are pretty sure not altcoin that replace bitcoin not bitcoin cash? I dont like bitcoin cash but as the recent price is high, very possible altcoin to change is bitcoin cash.

not possible,,  see the market order book,  if btc will fell down then all other market also decreased.
market demand are totally depends on Bitcoin value.
Definitely its not, no other altcoin can surpass bitcoin. Even bitcoin price drop to half of its current value other altcoin couldn't tie to the price of bitcoin. Or even it drops to 3/4 of its price its still higher compare to other altcoin. I believe so that if would it be possibly be happen that other altcoin will surpass bitcoin I'll bet that this altcoin would take so long to be happen.
I beg to disagree you mate, though bitcoin is a lot more higher compared to any other altcoin please be considerate and open minded that no one could predict that bitcoin will stay forever in its good state. Though I believe that bitcoin is totally a good and superior altcoin but don't underestimate the potential of other altcoin. Its so happen that many investors choose bitcoin, but come to think that bitcoin is high enough expensive to afford with someone who haven't enough fiat to buy bitcoin.

I do not think this will happen in next 10-15 years. In fact, if the bitcoin prices go down it will also negatively affect other cryptocurrencies.

I think no token will suprass bitcoin because bitcoin will continue  to grow and grow and no token will suprass it in terms of price and trust.

Sure. No problem.
Surpass it in price but never with trust.
Bitcoin is already a pioneer when it comes to all the crypto so it will be hard to take it down.
They might do it but it will not take long like what bitcoin is now.

This is just the start. There will be many altcoin that will come out thinking they are better with bitcoin but it will all end with hell.

Since btc is already here, it will be hard for other crypto to replace it,it might not even happen, what only they can do is follow its steps and make their project a better and legit one, more alts have potentials now we just need to be more oriented on how we choose cryptos to put our investment.

I don't know if you ever watched the "Groundhog day" with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell? Sometimes i feel like this when i check the posts on this forum. Same questions repeating over and over again. Yes it is possible. It's just like with anything else in the world. Just check some of the old movies and pay attention to the commercials inside. Like Atari with the first Blade runner. If you're young enough, it's possible you never heard about it. But at the time it was perspective company. So things change. Crypto are no exception. There is no sure bet in life.

I just woke up this morning and saw the recent price of bitcoin and its really alarming high! so i wanted to know, could there ever be a crypto that surpasses the mighty Bitcoin??

Surpass in terms of exchange value? Yes there was, before. There was such an altcoin that went beyond the btc price before, thats when an altcoin suddenly pumped and It will be immdiately got dumped, only for greedy investors self interest to multiply their risky investment.  But, as of today, btc is way too expensive than any altcoin in the market, and I think there is no way that some altcoin will overtake its price. But, if there is, Im sure it cannot sustain for long time.

As of now there is no altcoin that can surpass Bitcoin ; all candidate coins are much weaker than crypto mother, but it is possible to happen in the far future ( if people tend to ignore BTC and show more interest in other coin ; then Bitcoin becomes just an altcoin ) but looking at current situation, I can say bitcoin is still the strongest

I doubt that other cryptocurrencies can overtake Bitcoin’s value. However, it’s possible if we talk about total cap or trading volume in some period of time. Theoretically it’s possible, but practically still cannot see any signs of that.
Yep there are no any cryptos currencies surpass the bitcoin right now but actually there are no people who know about the future include about the alternative coins will surpass the bitcoin, we know couples years ago many people said that the bitcoin will not be survive in the world no one believe in the bitcoin but right now bitcoin is the king of digital coins, in the future the posibility of other cryptocurrencies surpass the bitcoin always be there although we don't know when is it happen.

the funny thing here is that nothing is stopping altcoins from "surpassing" bitcoin, "replacing" it or whatever,... except themselves Cheesy

if someday, someone creates some better cryptocurrency then surely it will go past bitcoin even with a faster speed than bitcoin had because all of us bitcoiners will also buy that since we know a good decentralized cryptocurrency has a lot of potential.
but sadly so far, the altcoins that are being created focus on getting a higher price in short term and focus on how they can earn more money from this rise. this turns them into pump and dumps with no development, little to no innovation and lots of copycats.

But do not underestimate the power of marketing. I know I said that a premined scamcoin like Dash will not surpass Bitcoin but did you know that their marketing budget reaches crazy numbers every month? I am told that it is over $1 million every month. Crazy.

Thanks for the great reply guys, So sad i didnt invest in bitcoin i guess its too late for me now  Sad Sad

If you believe in McAffee's words you are far away from beeing too late. Your moon is not his moon.

Well we have not really seen the last of it yet. If his "moon" does not happen within 3 years, then we will see him eat his own dick on national television. Haha.

I hope Bitcoin is "only" on $100,000 per coin by that time.
