Actually we can't really tell. Some people uses bitcoin as a mode of payment now a days. Yet paypal is most commonly used by now and its is already established before bitcoin came in.

In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?

I still do paypal and I still want it to exist, because there are transactions online that are suited for paypal users, like you are going to transact to people you don't know and there are online stores that only caters to paypal users because paypal tos is suited to their needs.
For now paypal is still preferred because many online merchants accept payment by paypal and other facilities that make paypal popular. but when acceptance of bitcoin is the same as paypal that it is accepted everywhere. I'm believe the use of paypal will decrease. because in my opinion bitcoin has more great facilities than paypal
You guys didn't understand well, Paypal is using fiat money and this type of cash is not volatile like Crypto Currencies and do you think that most of the merchants all around the world would like a very volatile money that can crash anytime? Huh Paypal is used by a lot of stores in the world and it already established its name and status in the industry. You people always think that someday Bitcoin will replace the paper money that we are using and that's kinda insane for a person that possesses a normal or an average brain. Stop your delusions of comparing paper money and Crypto Currencies because this two kinds of cash and digital cash are different from each other and both have upsides and downsides.
Even with the mass adoption of Bitcoin will occur Paypal will never be gone and it will continue or accept Crypto Currencies too. And one more thing, not every people are given the privilege to use a Crypto Currency because this is not a physical object and to be able to use or possess it you'll need a smartphone or a personal computer/laptop and of course the internet is also needed to perform a transaction and we all know that there are people that don't have the ability to possess and use these kinds of stuff. Cool

I don't think Paypal will die if Paypal will work with Bitcoin. I mean, Paypal has a function that is almost the same as a Bitcoin wallet. That is saving money balances and can send and receive money to another account. Bitcoin wallets are also similar. They can save, send and receive Bitcoin. If Paypal can also store and accept Bitcoin in it, then Paypal will not die.

You are right. We could see a kind of transformation of PayPal approach, accepting and storing Bitcoin. But I think that PayPal will be the same for a while, perhaps many years due to its strong name which does not need to be associated with the term Bitcoin. This is a interesting topic, because we really dont know what could happen to change the things overnight.

Paypal has been operating long before Bitcoin and has got the accreditation of most banks across the globe. However, Bitcoin offers significant features and benefits which Paypal do not offer. Bitcoin allows to purchase items as well as to earn for holding for some time. Bitcoin will only get to displace Paypal completely when it is accepted by the most of the governments.

For me not coz Paypal and other forms of payments system have already their own market users which suit their needs.Bitcoin is nice and friendly for users. They can be both good alternatives for those who haven't.try using it.Ongoing users have many options for the security of their money.Adaptation of bitcoin is really one of good actions to do.

I think the death of those apps are not very hard because the soutions that they do provide now are not very high in value such as it past where everyone was afraid to shop from internet. And yeah btc solves a bigger problem than they are solving

Yeah, it really could be. But not for todays time. I think it would be likemarketing war betweet users both of payment systems.
But i believe in Bitcoin!
The biggest difference is that bitcoin is not just a payment system that is at war with paypal, bitcoin is a lot more than that, and so it seems likely to me that eventually bitcoin could become the preferred form of payment over the internet, but for that we will need the lightning network to be fully functional something that has not happened yet.

That would be practically impossible and it would be a third world war. There are still people who do not know what bitcoin is, or the cryptocurrency, until it does not take long, we will not have that luxury. If paypal accepted bitcoin wallet as payment, things would change anyway.

Both are different in nature bro. Bitcoin is a digital currency and PayPal is an only payment service. Though bitcoin can be used for payment there are a lot of distinguishing between them. If bitcoin bring end PayPal I won't have any problem I hate PayPal formalities. But it will take a long time because PayPal also belong to lots of users.

It could.
But I guess it will take time. There is a lot opposition to cryptos from central financial authorities. Moreover, people are quite skeptical about cryptos. This creates problem when it comes to adoption aspect. Adoption is the most important thing if you are even thinking of surpassing paypal.

Non-cash bank forms of payment are very convenient and their types and services for them only continue to develop successfully. Cryptocurrency will not have a serious negative impact on the development of non-cash forms of payment. Cash, non-cash money and cryptocurrency will continue to walk simultaneously with each other and no one will replace anyone.

While bitcoin can be used for transactions without external service providers like Paypal, it is necessary for bitcoin to gain more acceptance from financial actors. Also, Paypal may obtain many advantages by accepting bitcoin as a currency. I think, paypal is not a rival of bitcoin, vice versa. Because bitcoin is a method and paypal is a service provider for transactions. Although Paypal is working as a bank, its ways used to make business is far from banks and it is more informal. Thus, its tendency to accept and use bitcoin as a currency is more likely.

I think this is very unlikely. PAYPAL has a large number of users, safe and legitimate.
And The main reason you’ll probably lose less money through PayPal is because your funds are only converted once. For example, dollars are immediately converted to euros.
With bitcoins, your funds are converted twice. In other words, you have to convert dollars to bitcoins and then convert bitcoins to euros. If you want to use bitcoins, take a good look at the exchange rate you’re getting — it could make a bitcoin transfer cheaper than using PayPal.
