All cryptocurrencies run on Bitcoin.

What do you mean?

If Bitcoin had not been created, there would be no such thing as cryptocurrency today

If there is no Bitcoin definitely some name will come up.  Cryptocurrency as stated:

As long as this bitcoin exists, the cryptocurrency bitcoin will be like a king.10 years 20 years however all markets will be established depending on Bitcoin. The altcoin section will rely on this bitcoin.

I am not sure of that.  Remember the "only permanent in this world is change" so I won't won't be surprise if other crypto will take over the seat of Bitcoin but for now, let us enjoy Bitcoin being the king of crypto.

Saying that, even though Bitcoin has a great effect on other cryptocurrencies, there are times when some crypto breaks out from the effect of Bitcoin fluctuation.  As you can see, oftentimes we see some altcoin value increasing while BTC price decrease or vice versa.  I think many altcoin developers and marketers make use of the BTC price crash as an excuse for their incompetence.  So in my opinion there will be a time where Bitcoin won't continue to have the same effects on alt.

What do y'all think? Will BTC price movement continue to have the same effect on alts price in like 10 years? 20 years maybe? Let's hear some expert opinions.
Without a doubt I think that things are going to remain the same regardless of how much time it passes, and the reason is simple, bitcoin is the only asset in this market in which people trust, the rest of the coins we have here are for the most part only good to speculate with.

Also when we consider the market dominance of bitcoin and how high it is then any movement of bitcoin no matter how small will affect the rest of the market, as it is simply impossible to ignore the movements of bitcoin especially when you are holding an asset that is many times weaker and that has a high correlation with bitcoin.

if bitcoin still remains as king, then it will continue. the question now is that will bitcoin be displaced from the top spot. i dont think this will happen anytime soon. so for a long time bitcoin will continue to lead and have same effect on alt. but each project will develop individually based on how much effort is put into it on the long run.

Looking at the current movement, Bitcoin is still the benchmark for most of the Alt, then indeed things like this will definitely be like this until whenever it seems because it is overall and if you look at the rough picture now Btc is still in control in Cryptu and this is clear because indeed they are the highest now. It's natural that the little ones follow the big ones and the big ones will definitely affect the small ones.

Most altcoins do follow where bitcoin is going, it can't be separated from bitcoin as a reference for some people in buying altcoins. Evidently this has been the case for a long time and I think it will continue to do so. I think it's also not about market cap dominance etc. it's a move that comes naturally to what's going on with bitcoin, or should I say with everyone referring to bitcoin before they buy altcoins.
This has been a thing in the past and you would be right. However, these days if you put fiat into your local crypto exchange, you could buy many many different coins with it and not just bitcoin. Back in the day you would have to buy bitcoin first, then you would have to buy other things, these days it is not like that at all.

I personally believe that we should be focusing more about the fact that bitcoin is at the top and most people consider it as the best thing, and that is why I believe that it is still one of the greatest assets because it is at the top. Being powerful generates power, I know it makes no sense for some people, but if you reach like 40 billion dollars worth of wealth, then have zero, you are not the same as someone who always had zero. Same goes for bitcoin, since it is already at the top, this is a cause to be at the top all by itself.

Certainly, Bitcoin is the master of cryptocurrencies without a competitor, so it will continue to affect the movement of the entire market, including alternative currencies, not only for 20 years, but most likely for the next 100 years, this is my opinion of course according to the many indicators that we see on the ground, Bitcoin It is the reason all these cryptocurrencies exist and is the mainstay of the market so we will see the impact of Bitcoin lasting for a century at least.

If we pay attention to the bitcoin btc/... pairs on the exchange it stands to reason that the price of altcoins will also fall if the price of btc falls.
Many times we complain when we find ourselves in that situation, but when we make a profit when the price of bitcoin rises, we are more reserved.
When the price of bitcoin falls, it is a good time to buy either bitcoin or the altcoin of our choice.

Bitcoin dominate the entire crypto market, so i think bitcoin still have a big effect in alts, the history can really give us the answer if we look back the 2017 bullrun we can really saw that alts that time is also having a drastically rising of the price and if i remember bounty hunting is really profitable that time because of the alts price is rising and after 2 years Bitcoin suffering a bear market and then alts followed not all alts but almost 90% of them is having a down trend.
I agree on that i am in this furom for so long and monitoring bitcoin for so long also together with the different alts. So i also experience a disappointment because of the falling of btc price, because i know that if btc fall my alts investments and alts from bounty hunting will also fall although not all alts will drop after Bitcoin drops but only few remain standing.

In 10 years probably at least 80% of the alt coins we have now will be long gone. I wanted to say 90% but I din't want to exaggerate. Also in 10 years bitcoin's volatility should be way less than today, so I still think that the whole market will be influenced by bitcoin movements, but I don't think we'll see -40% movements.
Altcoins do not last for longer time so more probably, 10 or 20 years from now, there will be new launched altcoins that will certainly replace those old ones. But i believe bitcoin will be staying for good. Its the most centralized coin ever and people stick to it because people find their freedom investing in a high promising coin without the interruption of any group or entity. Bitcoin is the king of crypto and as long as it keeps dominating the crypto market, it will always bring the same effect to altcoins.

I think this is a good question, so far and for as far back as it can go, Bitcoin has virtually controlled Crypto-currency and that includes affecting the price of Bitcoin. Would this continue in the future? I would say No, infact this theory is currently affecting some coins and not others, recently I have seen some coins go up even when Bitcoin was dropping, Some coins aren’t based or influenced by the price of Bitcoin although many coins are still, but in the future I think we would see more and more coins going price independent to Bitcoin.

I have to say that there is really nothing that could be breaking alts from bitcoin anytime soon. It was around the early 2018 period that saw the altcoin increases because bitcoin increased very late into 2017 and that meant if the increase happened afterwards that impacted alts during 2018. It will be very similar again, during the 2021 period we ended up with something good in bitcoin and afterwards, it ended up with alts following that and increasing. ETH even kept up a bit longer because of all the nft and play to earn stuff and so forth. That is why I believe that whenever bitcoin goes up a lot, that will cause alts to follow up later on as well for sure.

I am sure that bitcoin will have an impact on the market and altcoins in general will still be in the top 1, as soon as the dominance of bitcoin decreases, then the impact will be proportionally less, it is not always the same to be the first...

I think if we can remember that BTC is the world most trusted cryptocurrency token, because it is decentralized, so it gives us control over our wealth. This reason has given BTC the trust it has in the world today, and it is the coin that have the control of the entire crypto market, so even more than 20 years to come BTC price will keep controlling the altcoin price.

The whole crypto market depends upon the bitcoin movement and this will continue like this. 90% of the altcoins move with the bitcoin movement while the rest 10% of the altcoins sometimes move independently because of very low liquidity.
If you are a trader or investment, just keep in mind that bitcoin movements determine the movement of altcoins.

I do not completely agree with what you said, although often related, it is not uncommon for bitcoin and altcoin prices to be inversely proportional in the market, as happened some time ago when the altcoin season occurred wasn't the bitcoin price going down at that time?
At that time I saw that when bitcoin was the crypto asset with the largest bearis, it turned out that altcoins could actually experience bulls in the market, and I think this was because many investors began to let go of bitcoin and switch to altcoins when bitcoin crashed due to negative sentiment which happend , so I don't think altcoins and bitcoin will always cohesive in the market.

As the father of all cryptocurrencies, I believe that Bitcoin will always dominate the market and most altcoins will depend on its movement. It will always have a huge impact on altcoin's situation especially now that its foundation is getting firmer because of different adoptions happening all over the world.

We don't know how long or will bitcoin price movement will always or will continue to have the same effect on altcoins because we would not know also if altcoins in future can stand alone without bitcoin influence. So far, for now we can say that bitcoin has a great effect on altcoins price and that is always shown to every price fluctuations of bitcoin, I am not sure if it is safe to say that most altcoins are dependable on the pumping and dumping of bitcoin price but that is what can be seen at the crypto market today.
