What do y'all think? Will BTC price movement continue to have the same effect on alts price in like 10 years? 20 years maybe? Let's hear some expert opinions.
No one knows on what would happen in 10-20 years time in speaking with price correlation in between alts and bitcoin which is the main coin of this market. We cant really just
deny that Bitcoin is the trend setter that whenever its state is on bearish then all coins in the market would definitely follow which is something a very normal condition or situation
that we are seeing for years in the existence of this market which most likely we would be seeing the same situation on upcoming years or future years to come
but lets see if some alts withstood whatever Bitcoin movement would might be.

Not an expert of course, but alts had been known to follow the price of Bitcoin at any time. From the looks of it, investor would invest in Bitcoin first before buying alts for obvious reasons that Bitcoin dominates the market.
It will be in that kind of scenario most of the time, unless something took over Bitcoin which unlikely will happen any day in terms of its price.

The market of altcoins is well connected to the bitcoin, so there is nothing to think about the effects over altcoins. Whenever there is positive move in the market, the same happens with the altcoins. The price have been struggling to stay above $40k. This have made $40k to be resistance zone which needs to be crossed to reach the next major resistance zone of $43. Only then the bullish move will continue, if not once again altcoins gonna drop gradually.

For now btc price movement has a great influence on that of alts a lot, simply because the alts are mostly pegged to btc perhaps, but so far this is how it has been and may probably will be in years to come until there is some changes where alts can perform independently from btc (am not sure if it will be possible).
Right now even alts like eth, bnb with strong utility and great demand are also affected by btc price movement, it would have been that btc price performance does not affect these coins since there is a great demand for them, but this has not been the case.

The movement of BTC will affect altcoins, and we have seen this all along.
But maybe every year, the movement will never be the same because there are several factors, such as adoption, which will also be different.
Like this year, after hitting a high price peak, btc fell again but fell slowly until it touched $38k, if I'm not mistaken.
It's better if we wait for what will happen in the next 10 or 20 years later.

I am not an expert, but the comment about the influence between BTC and Alts from the past to the present is what we have seen. The future for this relationship to not affect each other is also very difficult. I don't have as many assumptions as many people, but considering what is going on, BTC dominates the crypto market, only if altcoins maintain stability. Given that the market is stable and nearly everyone understands this market, we can expect a healthy environment that is not too much affected by the volatility of the parties.

every bitcoin price increase, Alt will also uptrend. I don't know if there are so many open buys in Alt, so every increase in bitcoin alt goes up too. or altcoins that are forced by the market to follow an uptrend to keep up with bitcoin. if this happens, then every altcoin will depend on the price of BTC.

if to compare the price between the movement of bitcoin and the Alt price this will have an effect. every bitcoin increase that occurs altcoins always follow it, although not all altcoins follow an uptrend, but if it is assumed that almost 90% of altcoins experience a much greater increase as before.

I don't know where did you get this idea of asking , but haven't you seen the market for 12 years now? can't you believe that the continuity of the increase year after year is a complete answer for your question?
Bitcoin will continue increasing or moving up , But Altcoin? who cares actually ? only those who am I holding is what i believe will made its up like Bitcoin did.

I personally don’t think so. I think within that amount of time (ten- twenty years) many if not most of these alts that are around today will be dying by the wayside. I think in ten years time only the most legitimate alts will be around which in my opinion will be pretty different than bitcoin, meaning they won’t be competitors, at least for the most part, kind of like Ethereum.

Bitcoin is the end goal.

Most alts are just a side step to try to get more Bitcoin in the end, or fiat for some of their creators.

In the end, alts will come and go, but Bitcoin will still be there. That means that alts will move with Bitcoin.

BTC could be at $1 million in two decades so it could remain as the main price driver of altcoins. Let's keep in mind that we're witnessing a shift in the global financial structure with BTC more and more involved. It's not hard to think that more companies will convert some of their assets to BTC to fight fiat inflation brought by pandemics and coflicts among countries.
Although not all, but the majority of Altcoins at this time follow the movement of BTC. Although not all there are some coins that can not be betahan and abandoned by the community so that the price is getting down even delisting from the exchange. There were some coins that went up so great during ATH in 2018 but after BTC went down they went back down and even until ATH This year they couldn't afford to go back to ATH before. So you certainly have to remain selective in owning altcoins. Because I have experienced two periods of halving and the cycle is almost the same as this.

Bitcoin is the king of other alcoins, the movement of bitcoin is very influential with alcoins until 10 years or 20 years later it will be like that unless there is a project that can be developed and and investors are interested in the project, the price of the coin has no effect on the movement of bitcoin.
Over the past years, so many projects have been developed and most of those are quite good enough but is there a change the way those coins move or the whole altcoin market moves? No, but they are still the same that depends on bitcoin. Price of other coins don't have an effect with bitcoin because they are smaller than in bitcoin.

We don't know what is going happen on the next 10 to 20 years but the only way to feel a change is when bitcoin dominance got lowered but I am not really sure if that's going to happen since we can see that most of the support are all in to bitcoin. Altcoins on the other hand are just a secondary pick.

Bitcoin has an important role in the crypto market and is also a reference for the market. that's why altcoin prices often follow Bitcoin prices. So I think as long as Bitcoin holds full crypto dominance then it will have an effect on altcoins. although not all altcoins are like that most of them follow the Bitcoin market where when the price goes up or down it will always follow. if it is said whether altcoins can hold on to themselves without being affected by Bitcoin or not then the answer will be difficult because basically, Bitcoin is a priority and dominance for crypto so that its movement becomes dominant and has an effect on other cryptos.

We are not experts, let alone me personally. However, dealing with the Bitcoin growth phenomenon cannot be taken lightly. The reason is quite simple and we can see it with the naked eye without needing to identify it in depth. Look at adoption, look at government attention to Bitcoin and also note that every country is now very interested in Bitcoin and making it an alternative payment. Where to put such trust is very difficult, but Bitcoin can do it even before it reaches its first 20 years. The huge contribution, interest, and resilience of the value that continues to show price increases every year has given us a place to accommodate how Bitcoin has a good share in the future compared to paper money.

Do you mean the effect of price?. The future is still unpredictable but bitcoin is still at the top of the market so bitcoin will still have an impact on the value of altcoins. It all depends on the movement of bitcoin, in the red market sometimes there are a few green altcoins but very few. It is just a short term pump, in the long term it all depends on the volatility of bitcoin.

Not to be called an expert but I think Bitcoin will still be the main thing in crypto space unless the so-called flippening wherein Ethereum was already at the top or its market cap exceeded Bitcoin or another altcoin made it. For now, let's presume that even for a decade or two, these altcoins will still follow the trajectory of Bitcoin.

Definitely bitcoin price will keep on having impact on altcoins, the manipulation will still continue Crypto is just full of manipulations, all those who longed and went to sleep have been liquidated. Just a little drop from bitcoin and there is huge drop in altcoins, bitcoin is currently at $40k+ from almost $45k last week, the effect will always continue on altcoins
