It's now 10 years since Bitcoin was created, yet many people are wondering who Satoshi Nakamoto might be. It's still today, where the creator of Bitcoin has hidden his/her identity well from the general public. All attempts in finding who created the world's most popular cryptocurrency have failed so far. But we all know that there's no such thing as 100% anonymity. A slight error in covering tracks, could expose your identity within the mainstream world.

Now, imagine if the real Satoshi's identity is found. If he/she is still alive, governments would be on his/her tail to put him/her in jail or even pay a hefty sum of taxes. Once this happens, Bitcoin might fail within the mainstream world. Of course, the community is what makes Bitcoin great. But I'm sure that the reveal of Satoshi's identity will have an influence (either positive or negative) over the cryptocurrency's price and reputation worldwide.

What are the odds of Bitcoin's survival once Satoshi is found? Will it continue to operate as is? Or will it fail in the long run? Huh

Put him on jail for what crime? impose a penalty for something that he is not yet using or doing, and what government is going to prosecute him, when do not even know his nationality and we don't have any idea if he is an individual or a group of people, even if he is found or even if he is not around, Bitcoin will continue to exist and adopted so far nothing can stop it.

If Satoshi has ever been identified, Bitcoin will have a huge impact. It will be one of the biggest news in the history of Bitcoin and this could have a positive effect on the price of Bitcoin. That's my own viewpoint, but I see it's going to bring good news. Everyone would be excited with the discovery of the Creator's identity, but for Satoshi, it might be difficult for him because he might be threatened by those people with bad intention and the government that will prosecute him and so on.

Why is he intimidated by organizations and bad people? He is not the richest man in the world, and in this world there are many richer people but they still appear in public without any problems. I think that if Satoshi was found, the price of bitcoin would not have any impact, maybe it would make this market more popular. Btw there is still someone in this market trying to prove that he is Satoshi, see what he can do hh

Bitcoin is no longer in the hands of Satoshi, Bitcoin is in the hands of the society that works with this, and Satoschi has done a great job keeping his identity hidden. And wanting to know who the creator of Bitcoin really is is because it is a mystery, and man likes to solve mysteries and find answers.

That is why in the very first place, he already know what to do and decided that for the common good, being anonymous which is in fact he also provided others as well, is the best thing he did to himself. With this, he detached himself from the influence of the world, and to completely not affect the market condition, in which, people who utilizes bitcoin received the freedom to decide for themselves and to decide what would be the best for the market. Now, we are abiding the system, and for sure, he's doing the same thing but with a bit of advantage of having the fruits of his labor, a couple of BTC.

I bet people that need to know know it. I mean CIA and FBI have so much resources that they can review all his emails ever send, all his messages ever send. I think he made mistake not once, so they know.
By me Satoshi is dead anyway, so it won't matter. It won't affect Bitcoin.

in my opinion if the government finds the original satoshi maybe bitcoin will slowly fade because of course the government will encourage satoshi nakamoto so that bitcoin can be controlled by the central government and other organizations, and when all that happens it is very possible for investors or bitcoin holders will take over to other crypto.

I think there's no reason to fail because of Satoshi. I believe Satoshi has no intention to destroy bitcoin. Besides, bitcoin had already established and many people and large investors are holding it. Those people will probably protect there assets and bitcoin as a whole. We have earn it for years already and we must protect and treasure bitcoin forever.

Nope , it is decentralised technology and it will be not be affected even if real satoshi is found and if this happen i think more hype will be created around btc so btc is going nowhere. I personally think it will never happen as it is too difficult to trace back Satoshi route and even you found real person you can not prove that he is responsible behind it.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.

As to me this name is a myth and there are not real people for bitcoin and because of bitcoin still illegal and it is high risk with not safe. So in real life bitcoin is only a cartoon and can disappear any time without any making any evidence.
You're just like Warren Buffet and to summarize your thoughts you simply called it a bubble. Well, even if satoshi is found or not I'll still believe that bitcoin will still grow and continue to develop and even his disappearance didn't get any effect to slow down even its value. Your claim that it's illegal just throws back at you being a fraud.

with the news about fake satoshi appearing and exposed , the more satoshi nakamoto will hide himeself because he will love to see these clowns show more and he will only laugh at them . aside from it , he is also consider his safety.  you already explain the reason why.
but found or not found , we will not know what happen on the future or bitcoin.
You really think that the real Satoshi is really laughing at the jokers coming out, i am sure he would have responded with a simple singing of the initial wallet and ended all the drama but it is 4 years and that is not the case still as he appeared once when Dorian was outed as Satoshi we saw a clarification that he is not the real person but i am not sure he is enjoying all the fights that is going on if he is alive for a technology he created and that been said even if he appears i do not think it will affect the market unless he is moving the coins as he is having a hell lot of coins to crash the market.

From the topic, I don't think that Bitcoin will ever fail again, even if the real Satoshi Nakamoto is found, Bitcoin will still continue.

Remember that Bitcoin is not controled by Nakamoto, and not by anyone.
i agree bitcoin will not fail even satoshi Nakamoto is found
bitcoin is not really controlled by anyone
it is standalone technology that cannot be controlled
when the time comes that satoshi sell all his coin it will make the price drop but I think it will still continue and grow after
Lol, there are many possibilities that might happen when the identity of satoshi was found. If you think outside of the box, then those scenarios can happen in this reality. We aren't sure of this until satoshi reveals himself and experienced it by ourselves.

Personal revelation also has affections to the market. If you are always in stocks, you'll know what I'm trying to say.

The BTC980,000 that Satoshi holds in his wallet is like a ticking timebomb. Chances are that Satoshi will never come online to spend those coins. But in the unlikely scenario of that happening, there will be a bloodbath in the market and if so many coins are dumped, then the exchange rates can crash by up to 90% or more. More than the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, it is this scenario that scares me.

Bitcoin has made its name in the world's monetary system and it is the biggest cryptocurrency today. Surely, if Satoshi will have his identity revealed, it will not only be the government who will chase him but also those wealthy people who wants to take part on bitcoin's success. If they will be able to manipulate satoshi, worst would be for the government, the long run would definitely fail as the system changes and the abuse of power would surely take place as it happens. It will continue to operate but it would definitely be different on what we have now.

I don't fell that the mainstream is too concerned about Satoshi Nakamoto identity.
If we find out that he gave his keys to someone or that he is alive, then there will be more bitcoins available (ultimately about 5% more). I don't see it changing significantly BTC price.

I think if Satoshi Nakamoto was ever to be found it would severely hurt the mysteriousness of his image. People will be heavily judgmental and even persecute Satoshi, its just what happens to most saviors, check the history. People could even loose faith in the technology and it's current effectiveness that works well when theirs a mystery surrounding it.  The mysterium of it all is what makes it so great, it's like who is this guy?

90/10, bitcoin will still survive if Satoshi is found because there's negative things that would cause on bitcoin even if he is found.
However, I really don't think we will ever know who satoshi is, this person is very rich now and he doesn't want to compromise his safety for recognition?

Forget about it, Satoshi will remain anonymous and his creation which is bitcoin will survive until massive adoption happens.

Looking at the trend of Craig wright scrutiny I got the knowledge that the Government could be after the 1 million bitcoin kept with satoshi,on the other hand I think Satoshi is more like an organization supported by the government. The 1 million bitcoin is more or less as a government treasury so whoever owns the other 20 million which they also share in and use in the space manipulation. Everyone that comes out will always be discredited and stripped, all satoshis looks more like an actors, they dont look conserved and intelligent for such invention, someone who like privacy and a PHD holder.
