isn't bitcoin decentralized crypto? those who control prices are investors, and users, not satoshi. other than that, I think if satoshi is found, he will only be asked something, or other things by government people, maybe invited to work together for something new, or other benefits, right? that's why Craig Wright insisted on recognizing himself as a satoshi. however, it was too late for the decline in the price of bitcoin caused by Satoshi being discovered. however, I believe that satoshi will not show himself.

You see everything as something very rosy. Do you think that the person who created the P2P financial system of a future will be invited to work somewhere? Do not make me laugh, we live in a cruel world and the first thing that will happen to Satoshi is the capture and interrogation in order to gain power over Bitcoin. That is why he will not reveal himself

So far, bitcoin is in the control of bitcoin holders. Price fluctuations that occur due to those who hold bitcoin.
Until now, for many years many people have wanted to reveal Satoshi's true identity but failed.
I am sure he will be the mediator when bitcoin is in a critical period, because he knows how to keep bitcoin alive with all his genius thinking.
Many of us are not aware that we are actually controlled by Satoshi, but are controlled in a positive way that still exists in the realm of bitcoin.

Would it survive? Yes. Would it be compromised? Probably. I would hate to see Bitcoin with its own version of Vitalik Buterin. That would be heartbreaking.

If Satoshi wanted to be a Vitalik, I'm sorry - a benevolent dictator, he would do so from day one instead of leaving this community. I think the fact that he left strongly implies that he doesn't want to be a single point of failure of Bitcoin, and if it's  true, then this is the answer to OP's question - if Satoshi will be found, he wouldn't do anything to harm Bitcoin, he'd probably comment on it much less then people would expect.

That sounds like a very strong possibility. He probably would not take centre stage and probably would comment very little and shy away from self-centred publicity.

The fact there has been a constant silence on part of Satoshi for so long means different things to different people. It adds to the aura of Bitcoin.

What are the odds of Bitcoin's survival once Satoshi is found? Will it continue to operate as is? Or will it fail in the long run? Huh
If in case satoshi revealed himself, governments would try to arrest him from different countries. If in case arrested, then obviously bitcoin would dumped hugely. If his/her own government like to save him and support his/her bitcoin & blockchain technology then bitcoin would sudden bump. But maximum possibility is for arrest since bitcoin spread worldwide and most of governments against it. But can't destroy bitcoin since its controlled by big community. Most likely that's why satoshi don't want to reveal himself. Who will want to destroy his own made crypto world just for come out and reveal himself. Due to fully decentralized open source system there is no more role needed from creator. In my opinion, just leave it as it is, revealed satoshi would shake whole financial economy.

Staoshi's presence to the public will surely impacts the market greatly and based from my perception, the likelihood of his appearance's efdect to the market is good, imagine if the creator of bitcoin unravels itself then we could have huge number of adopters to enter the market and many will rush to buy bitcoin just for the this reason. Thought it might be risky for the side of satoshi to appear in public because of his bitcoin hodlings.

I think the bitcoin will continuously run even they discovered Satoshi Nakamoto because he already created the bitcoin. By some instance many people see the potential of this coin for investment and a lot of people put their money on this, and by the time goes by the price of the bitcoin grows up and becomes more profitable. The coin becomes famous all over around the world, and now the cost of the bitcoin is enormous and gives a lot of money and profit to the people who want to use this coin and earn a lot of this. But still many people asking about what will happen if he will found I think one of the primary cause is the market price it depends on him how he manages the market value and the can manipulate the transactions using bitcoin.

Now, imagine if the real Satoshi's identity is found. If he/she is still alive, governments would be on his/her tail to put him/her in jail or even pay a hefty sum of taxes. Once this happens, Bitcoin might fail within the mainstream world. Of course, the community is what makes Bitcoin great. But I'm sure that the reveal of Satoshi's identity will have an influence (either positive or negative) over the cryptocurrency's price and reputation worldwide.

Assuming that the man is not yet 6 feet (1.83 m) underground, there can be the time when he might surface or someone will be exposing him. Now, this is also assuming that the name Satoshi Nakamoto really represented a single person and not a group, otherwise we can be barking on the wrong tree.

In case he will surface or be exposed, there is actually no basis for the government to do anything against him nor jail him as I see no law that he has broken by coming up with Bitcoin and the blockchain technology. Plus I don't think any government will be risking its reputation on the line by doing so.

I am seeing that he can even be proclaimed as a great hero especially by people who appreciated and got benefited by things he had done.

I think satoshi being found will not affect bitcoin at all. In fact, what can he do to destroy bitcoin? and why would he destroy bitcoin if he has something that can destroy it? Bitcoin survived 10 years without even us knowing who is the real creator why would it fail if the creator will be unveiled?

It's now 10 years since Bitcoin was created, yet many people are wondering who Satoshi Nakamoto might be. It's still today, where the creator of Bitcoin has hidden his/her identity well from the general public. All attempts in finding who created the world's most popular cryptocurrency have failed so far. But we all know that there's no such thing as 100% anonymity. A slight error in covering tracks, could expose your identity within the mainstream world.

Satoshi is out of the issue if Bitcoin will succeed because he has no control on the adoption and development of Bitcoin, it's a concerted and decision of the community, he is just become a holder of Bitcoin nothing else, because the source is an open one, and I don't think authorities can just arrest him for creating something that revolutionize it, people in the past should have prosecuted the inventor of dynamite, but it did not happen.

Let us say that may happen. We still don't know if he is even alive by now.

It will not fail, but that will also depend on him.
First of all, what is his goal for founding bitcoin?
That sums it up already. I don't think he will talk about how deep the research is or even his wallet private keys.
It will not go that far.

Although there is something that could come up.
Government telling media he is ready to talk even if he is not.
They can create stories easily.

I think finding Satoshi will not contribute to the failure of Bitcoin.  It can spark a great motivation to the community thus attracting more people to adopt Bitcoin.  Whether he will be jailed or not, we can remove the fact that he is the creator of Bitcoin.  His presence will be influential inside or outside the jail.
And how can it happen? I can't really imagine or there is no actual reason for it to attract people to adopt bitcoin.
There is also no reason for him to be thrown in jail, creating crypto is not a crime, there are other developers out there created more than one crypto who's name is being broadcast but they are not thrown in jail.

Fixed some critical error on my reply, "we can not remove the fact.."  I am telling about the worst case scenario if ever government exercise their being unjust  to make sure to have control over things and disheartened decentralized believer like us.
It can due to the hype if ever satoshi is found.   If you remember the bullish trend of crypto way back 2017, it is the strong hype that attracts lots of investors during those time, and think if Satoshi will be found, isn't the news about it everywhere?  Togther with it is the idea and propagation of Bitcoin thus creating hype to the audience.
So, you mean to say that they will try to harm satoshi, threaten him or put him to jail just to control it? I don't believe that it will happen. We can use as an example those faketoshi (the government do not also know if they are real, but they can act quickly to do what they want to them, but they didn't)
There is no reason for a strong hype to happen just because his identity has been revealed. What happen during bullish trend before can't happen again just because of it. What truly increase the price of bitcoin is due to the demand.

I can't see the reason why Bitcoin would fail if identity of Satoshi is revealed. It's not the mistery of Satoshi that that keeps the value and popularity of Bitcoin.
Also, I don't think that is very likely for identity of Satishi to be revealed. If it hasn't been so far why would that happen now? But like I said, even if that happens it will not influence the Bitcoin.

It is possible to happen? I don't think so, a lot of things is already happen, even we find the real satoshi even him couldn't stop bitcoin because he said that he lost her private key and can not control bitcoin anymore so there is no possibility that bitcoin will stop or fall. unless bitcoin has no more value to us and the real satoshi make a new one that can surpass bitcoin's uses.

What! no way, if Satoshi is found bitcoin is likely going to see a huge exposure again with intentions that maybe Satoshi Nakamoto can alter the code of bitcoin to increase its scalability. How would the governments ask him to pay taxes on funds he never spent lol. If bitcoin is to be taxed then  i suggest the users pay for it themselves.

I think bitcoin will continue to operate even if satoshi was found. But I wonder if he will really be found or even let himself be found since he doesn't want it to happen at all.
One more question is, if we ever found satoshi, will people believe that it is the real one?

I don't think so, because the use of bitcoin is now quite extensive and has become one of the places that gives good results to the user community, so if Satoshi Nakamoto is known today it might be even better because he can explain and develop bitcoin again.
