I believe bitcoin will reach $4000 before the end of this year. The second wave of adoption had just started and it has not even in doen with its first stage yet. Aside from that we are facing lots of good news about bitcoin adoption and some improvement in bitcoin feature. I think this good news is enough to push bitcoin above $4000.
Yes there is a high possibility of bitcoin reaching the mark of 4000$ by the end of this year as it has already reached a 2000$ mark in the recent weeks,also it is getting famous and popular day by day ,but reaching the mark of 7500$ might not be easy enough, but by any chance if it reaches say 7500$ before or during this year, I guess the price will he brought down around say 5000$ maximum

What are you saying? you mean bitcoin would be reached at $7500 in this year. It is unbelievable thinking. Because i am not agree on it that bitcoin would be come at $4000 and as you said it is biggest hard for bitcoin to come at $7500 in this year. Don't go in a wrong way and control your greediness and see the reality. I am sure bitcoin couldn't be cross at $4000 in the end of 2017.

I think not, bitcoin is making great progress but that price is too much, bitcoin will have to more than double its current price in a little bit more than six months so it seems very unlikely to me.

If the price of Bitcoin should go up to $4000 before the year runs out, its okay but if the time of confirmation of transactions made is not been checked to rectify its issues, that might lead it to something with a more bigger issues of not just hitting $4000 but bringing it down below $1000...

well we are almost hitting that price so maybe we will reach much bigger than that but i'm also doubtful whether we can reach 4k$but just in case trend continue and etf will approved it big chance to happen, lets wait and see.
I think, given the situation, bitcoin can test $2500 or even $3000 levels. $4000 is hard to reach and maintain unless they do something to bring down the transaction fees and the confirmation time. And lots of people are investing or trading litecoin, ethereum and ripple. So I see altcoins making massive gains.
This is way too optimistic, I think we need to be satisfied with this price now, where $4000 comes from?

Well, we cannot predict bitcoin price as currently it reach to $2000. We cannot tell as bitcoin has become in demand in any countries now. It is the matter of time now maybe this year it will reach $4000. Lets just hope for the best.
If you hope for the best, then you should hope that the price will go up in a sustainable manner. I can't see the price touch the $4000 mark this year, but even if it does, it won't be an healthy situation.Currently it's demand that is pushing Bitcoin to newer highs, but if we would go up all the way to the $4000 mark this year, it would more look like a bubble.
I am sure that most people here don't care about sustainability as long as the price keeps breaking through newer highs, but it will result in a massive correction at some point, don't forget that.
No, you will never see $4k bitcoin this year or the next. In fact, you will never see it. Not in your life time. Never. Won't happen. You will all die destitute and pennyless. Sell all your bitcoins and die happy. Please. For your own sake.
We can't say that it's a "never" because this year is going to be a massive growth for bitcoin.
Though I'm only expecting that this year the price will end up only at $1,500 but it did increased more.
For me, it will not be a never for this year and it's possible to happen but it will be hard.
I think it is quite hard for bitcoin to reach $4000 this year, aside from that we should break $2000, $3000 and $3500 prices first before assuming that bitcoin will reach $4000. There are resistance, FUD, correction that may hinder the growth of bitcoin.

I said very likely, this month's price immediately reached $2000 and maybe this year will reach $5000 instead of $4000. Now everybody hold and buy bitcoin so prices keep rising.We are almost at $2000, I think we will be breaking this $2000 soon, going up to @2500 at the end of third quarter, if $2500 is reached before the end of this quarter then we will se $3000 at the end of this year. $4000 is quite steep to reach but I do not say there is no possibility but to have it this year is kinda impossible.

We can not be sure about that and it seems it would take a year I guess before it will totally reach the $4000 value even the closer amount unless the movements of price will be more aggressive than its current status that it will have a huge pump once again and continuously occuring . And as of now, maybe it would be enough for most people if bitcoin reaches at least 2500 dollars - 3000 dollars this year .
Honestly, for me any price above the $1500 level is already enough. If I look at how things are going, and might continue to go, then I think that the price will more or less settle between the $1800-$2200 levels, before the end of this year. But we don't need to forget that this is Bitcoin. By this I mean that at some point there will be another hacked exchange or whatever else causing the price to go down heavily. No matter how good things look right now, next week things can look completely different.
There is a good chance that it will but its not certain. But in the long run it looks more and more obvious that it will gain in value so that alone may attract a lot of people to own it.

SEC seems to have been thinking again on their decision after seeing that their decision doesn't really change anything with the value of bitcoins, but yes it would really count and give the price a boost if it gets accepted as a stock in the International Exchange. $4000 doesn't seem realistic, but I can clearly say that we will definitely see $2600 this year if the scaling issues get resolved.
I dont think that SEC would change its mind on accepting again bitcoin since they do already made their decision on the past which really proves them wrong that bitcoin will fall without their support but still its alive and still kicking as of now and you are right $4000 on this years isnt realistic to consider maybe 2k would possible seeing on the current price its still on increase rally.Yes I agree that SEC's decision didn't make any difference to either the price of bicoins or its usage, but it gave the coin more boost and exposure in front of the audience through media and I think that newer highs are still there in the future, possibly very soon but I feel that the levels that we are talking here for are not so easy to get reached unless we have proper reasons to go there.
the audience that have been watching SEC and its decision already knew about bitcoin, so i don't think it really had that big a effect on anything. although we may have had some headlines in some financial related news which was good.
this rise is mostly a part of natural bitcoin price rise plus the mainstream adoption that was started by Japan.
