I dont think that SEC would change its mind on accepting again bitcoin since they do already made their decision on the past which really proves them wrong that bitcoin will fall without their support but still its alive and still kicking as of now and you are right $4000 on this years isnt realistic to consider maybe 2k would possible seeing on the current price its still on increase rally.

Yes I agree that SEC's decision didn't make any difference to either the price of bicoins or its usage, but it gave the coin more boost and exposure in front of the audience through media and I think that newer highs are still there in the future, possibly very soon but I feel that the levels that we are talking here for are not so easy to get reached unless we have proper reasons to go there.

How do you predict that it has a high chance to reach while it took almost 5years just to reach 1800$ current price? Don't be too over hype a 2000$ price jump is not good on BTC market. If tha happens, it means that bitcoin can be dump that much.

Yes $4000 mark value is possible but not to this year but for the coming years, the actual target that I am speculating are the $2000 and because of that occurring error we are experiencing some minor set back to the price value that is why the price is struggling to reach the $2000 mark, and I think that we need to be realistic in giving speculation and give some aspect on what might happen not only the good side of it but the bad side as well just like the impending dump that might occur we can really never know what might happen.

i wouldn't agree more if a solution to the current problem could be found we should see no resistance on price of bitcoin but getting to $4000 will be a challenge as i can predict this wont be happening for 2017 we just might be in the two thousands range close to 3k.

I think it is quite hard for bitcoin to reach $4000 this year, aside from that we should break $2000, $3000 and $3500 prices first before assuming that bitcoin will reach $4000. There are resistance, FUD, correction that may hinder the growth of bitcoin.

I also doubt that bitcoin will reach $4k this year. I guess it is $3k that we can see this year. There maybe adoption in some country but always remember that there is something holding bitcoin to sky rocket and that is the scaling problem. This will probably the one that will cause resistance to Bitcoin in reaching $4k this year.

i think its difficult that bitcoin price will be reach to $4k this year because now bitcoin price is on $1800 and it take 4 or 5 months to reach on $18k so i hope bitcoin will be reach to $ 2500 at the end of this year.

The solution for network capacity and congestion problems is there. What we lack is proper consensus.
Political agenda and monetary gains are what is curbing bitcoin's progress. We all saw what activation of SegWit has done to Litecoin.
And now imagine what will happen to bitcoin with SegWit+Lightning Network or maybe RootStock (if developers will keep all their promises).
SegWit activation alone would easily double current bitcoin's price.

You actually never know , anything can happen next and seeing the price growth it has received this year there are high chances that we can expect bitcoin to reach new heights and shatter all it's old records. 3000$ looks like a guarantee but 4000$ seems too much now. Whatever you do just don't sell your coins just wait

Huge money have to come from somewhere. Not sure if you know how it works, but for the price to double, someone will have to buy everything at current prices, and everything is those millions of Bitcoins, at 1,5k each, that are stacked at exchanges. And it's not over yet, somebody will have to try selling those coins at over 2 times the price they were not that long ago and find a crazy mofo to start buying.
Would you buy a $4000 bitcoin now? I guess not. What about in 3 months? I'd still say nope. As you can see it's not that easy for 4000 to happen at all and certainly not this year.

I agree that bitcoin can reach 2000-2,200 dollars this year. Even if there are falls, they will not break the price increase. Bitcoin is now very popular and I hope soon it will be adopted by many countries of the world

I am also quite optimistic if you look at the current bitcoin price movement, bitcoin prices are very supportive for better improvement as well. Maybe realistically I prefer 3000USD to target by the end of this year.
