I don't think so that the smuggler are using bitcoin to buy weapons I think they can buy weapons easily using USD EURO and any other flat currency. I think bitcon will survive an any condition and in any position. no need to worry about bitcoin. how ever its rate will greatly effected at that time.
Without the internet, I think bitcoin would not survive. I think we would take a few steps back in a lot of forms of technology if this scenario happened. Bitcoin would be the least of our worries in that kind of war.

I don't think a new world war could occur in the destructive ways that the observed in past wars. There will be more technological ways to attack powerful countries, and some of them we are observing these days.
However I am not so sure that the bitcoin could survive to a massive attack of expert hackers in the future years, when technological advances will overcome the current technology.

Lets face it- if the nuclear shit hit the fan, apart from just surviving, the only game in town as far as currency is concerned would be gasoline or gold.

As we are in the new Information age, if Bitcoin is as secure as everyone on this forum says it is, it could be attacked many times, it might survive, it might not. The blockchain will survive though.

With the tension or conflict in the South China Sea, it is possible that China-Russian will get into war with USA, and most Europe countries probably will be stay out of the game.
My point is internet will be accessible in Europe. If for some reason, Europe decide to attack Russian from the other side, Australia, new Zealand will still have internet, everybody in China/Russian/USA will be struggling to connect to network in Australia to do Bitcoin business.

It depends on bitcoin's popularity in that time. If people loving used to depend on bitcoin,if bitcoin widely used all over the world,it will successfully overcome world war 3

If ww3 breaks out then biggest question is if humen will survive ? We had WW I and WW II and also WW III (Cold war) but reason why WW III didn't become ''hot'' war is very simple: ''No guarantee for victory''.
WW IV is also possible with terrorist like ISIS and if this happen, please believe me, nobody will care any more about any bitcoin.
