I believe that bitcoin will never be defeated in thus year of 2019 or in the near future because it was the first cryptocurrency that was created and it will remain the number one coin in the market, so there are no any chances that it will be defeated by any other cryptocurrency.

After reading this post I have to check the coinmarketcap again to see if there is any coin that have market cap or volume close to bitcoin. No coin will ever overtake bitcoin. Those project that says that their blockchain is better than bitcoin are just saying it for marketing sake.
