We still don't know why bitcoin seems to be defeated and its losing it greatness now a days. But whatever the reason is, let's us just hope that someday it will return again, seems like seasonal but I am pretty sure that bitcoin will back to its greatness again and those who hope for it will profit again, when? we don't know what matter is we keep believing.
Everything is both difficult and simple. There is a worthy replacement for Bitcoin, this is Ethereum. But the problem is that Bitcoin has a large market capitalization due to the fact that it was the "first". Ethereum will need a considerable time to get around it.
I also believe that everything is not permanent including in the cryptocurrency market but it will take time for a promising altcoin to overtake the leading cryptocurrency. Ethereum must achieve what the bitcoin accomplished for many years to be able to gain more market capitalization and level the playing field. Rather than being defeated, bitcoin will continue the crypto world in so many years before another one will overtake its number one ranking.
As i observe the movement of bitcoin price, it is in the lower part, base on the history they started. But if we continue to support the innovation of the new technology, including the cashless society it will grow and improve the system that they had. Bitcoin will continue to dominate the number one in cryptocurrency and no one can replace it.

I doubt that Bitcoin will be defeated in 2019, neither I don't believe that in the near future there is other token will surpass or defeat bitcoin too.
This is not possible, because for 1 decade none of the altcoins in this industry overtake the price of Bitcoin. Did you see the gap of their price value its almost miles away, isn't right? Unless, if all users or investors will be gone instantly.
Bitcoin can't be defeated I guess because the value of it right now is still biggers than anycoin in the cryptocurrency markets and even though the value of bitcoin today is not regular and not maintain it is not even close that bitcoin will be eliminated nor defeated by any type of crypto in the market. 2019 will be a good year for bitcoin I wish.
It will not happen. because indeed today there are still many interested markets where they are very interested in bitcoin even though now the value is experiencing a considerable decline.
That's right because the price of bitcoin is still strong and of great value, so this year the bitcoin will never be defeated this year by other coins even though the price is now destroyedOnly hope will change things later. I'm not so sure that Bitcoin will easily die this fast because there are many other things that must be developed from BITCOIN for everyone who knows it.
I would say this past x years is just the beginning honestly. Sure it will evolve making it hard to put a fixed price on it, but lets evolve in the superior market
Who will dethrone bitcoin? Ripple or tron? I think no one of them can replace the position of bitcoin. They must perform first an outstanding volumes everyday in each exchange so that they can surpass ethereum daily market cap. Bitcoin will never be removed on its position because it already filled to the mindset of investors. For now, they are just sitting down but when bull goes on, btc will be the first coin to move up.
We're close to the bottom, and I feel it because halvening is coming next year, and usually, the bear market usually gets over before a year of halvening. And yeah, don't forget that Bakkt futures launch and NASDAQ futures launch are coming this year too!

I dont see bitcoin losing in the battle of crypto 2019, bitcoin value will remain as what it is when it enter the 2019 and will finish strongly come 2020. Bitcoin is just warming up for a greater bullrun that I myself believed will occur next year, have a lot of it while its value is down. Invest, invest and hold

I do not think that it will happen because it is ridiculous. Do you think that there are altcoins who can surpass the capitalization of the bitcoin that will make the bitcoin be defeated? Of course it is impossible because altcoins have do not enough power to beat bitcoin. The bitcoin has strong support from community and the community will not let it happen. Bitcoin is main cryptocurrency in market and i think most crypto price depend on bitcoin price. If bitcoin price fall, its followed by others crypto and i think bitcoin still survive in 2019 and years after. Bitcoin still holding biggest daily transaction volume and i dont think bitcoin wil defeated
it's very difficult to beat bitcoin, especially the volume between bitcoin and coins ranked second is still too far. and I think it is impossible to pursue it, especially as you say, where bitcoin is the holder of other coin controls, and of course other coins are developing along with the development of bitcoin
