I believe that not even the jp morgan coin will defeat bitcoin in just a matter ofshort time because of a fierce competition to gain an upperhand in the market. All top coins are in a race to beef up their rankings and market capitalization and jpm coin might go through the eye of the needle first before it reaches the top ten. Bitcoin secured itself on top with the largest market capitalization and may go up further if another bullrun come.

A difficult thing to describe to defeat the queen of all types of coins because all are based on the price of Bitcoin.If the Queen's price drops then all members experience a very bad decline later.

If its mean defeated in market cap value, i am agree anything possible. But when looking current market condition, i dont think it will happen soon, perhaps need long time for others coin to defeat bitcoin in market cap value

I don't think so, I didn't think btc will be defeated this year, sooner or later. Many have said it before and I witnessed it for how many years now but look btc still remain on top. Maybe say it again if other coin isn't following the trend of btc already. As of now, no indication of any coin beating the king.

There are so many things that should we consider before we can say that bitcoin will be defeated this year. The question is, by whom bitcoin will be defeated? i don't think there exists a cryptocurrency that can defeat it in terms of its market capitalization alone.

As stated bitcoin has got the chance to get defeated, but to what extent is gonna happen in reality is zero from my personal opinion. Till date several altcoins have been into the market and none has made a change to the bitcoin market. None has got the potential to take its position, it almost ten years having the first position. 2019 is truly interesting and more to see.

Its also the most developed among the others that even a third world country accepts BTC as payment. I hope it will be more upgraded this year and more country accepts it s payment. yes right if looking back before the massive increase at the end of 2017 the price of bitcoin is only around $ 1000, but that investors and traders I think they are just worried that bitcoin will not have a significant increase, because they have bought it when high prices compared to current prices.

I am personally very optimistic that bitcoin prices will be able to rise again and continue to grow if the time has come, just be patient for now and don't panic too much when there is a deeper correction.

Investors and traders should be patient to wait for the market to start rising again. There's no point on arguing if bitcoin will end or not, we all know the answer.

How can you say that now people prefer Ethereum? Considering the market cap, Bitcoin is higher on the rank meaning that is more powerful. Also, these two that you compare have different uses. The one is used mostly as storing value and the other for building Dapps that are helped due to the smart contracts.
In the end, they are not the same in order to say that you are going to use the one over the other.
