Sure it's impossible to say but still... after yesterday hearing i really don't know what to think. Used to be sure Libra entry will boom the market once again but it looks like Libra's not coming shortly.
Is btc halving the most promising ''event'' we are looking forward to (at the moment)?
There is no any promising news can make BTC jump except btc halving. Some goods news were already published and people thought those would make btc price pumped, but sadly, it won't affect anything. ETF, Libra coin, as example how good news didn't make any change though.

Why would you even compare BTC with Libra. BTC already boomed and will boom again in the near future. People have asked the same question before the last halving and what did they get? BTC boomed super hard, it reached 20k$. If we based our predictions solely from the past events, the next halving should help BTC boom a lot more and should be able to reach another ATH. Also, BTC has been in more in demand now compared to the past, and with the halving occurring limiting the supply released, Prices would naturally go higher right?

I have heard that the launch of Libra will be carried out in 2020. It is uncertain when halving will occur, we only rely on mass adoption so that crypto can boom. Following the market is the best thing than hoping for the uncertain, the user must be able to survive in any condition.

IMHO, this bear market we are experiencing is the preparation for the halving event next year. If you are gonna asking for thr boom moment, yes, there is a higher chance that it may increase the price. Chances are higher if we are looking at these circumstances in halving:
-The previous scene (previous halving) shows positive bull run,
-The demand and supply is affected which resulting to the increase of btc's price.

I don't even want to know about bitcoin or altcoin price before bitcoin halving day which approx will happen on May 2020. If bitcoin and other crypto are down, that's the best time to accumulate more and more those cheap coin before it goes "BOOM" like you said. But by looking at history of bitcoin halving, the BOOM happened approx 1 year after halving happened, so we should get ready around may 2020 - may 2021.

If boom is meant to be like 2017, then it will really take more time like how 2017 event occur. Before the 2017 Pump, BTC are not too popular same with crypto, it is not usually used by many and some only hold it, came from mining they don't have idea it will reach that amount when they first have it. Same now, everything is a cycle and needs time. Just think of BTC having a limited supply and  will have more demand in the future due to mass adoption or transactions that will be needing. So patience is the key now.

cryptocurrency still has the opportunity to be able to make price increases again, just don't know when it happened because there is currently no good news that can trigger an increase in coin prices at the exchange, cryptocurrency prices can go back up when market conditions begin to recover.

Defined "boom" ?

I don't understand what others are aiming for or expecting on BTC this year after coming from a year-long hard and painful bearish market last year.

Look at the bigger picture instead and look for the long-term. Don't expect that quick jump on your desired price target as we don't want to see again the fake hype brought by the 2017 rally.

I think stablecoins will make a huge difference here. They're growing faster and faster. And people are patronizing them since its their safehaven for unstable market. Altcoin are slowly fading. I think this year not for cryptocurrency as bleeding market is taking over. No bulls yet. I don't know whether the halving of Bitcoin will make any effect on the market since total marketcap is slowly reducing. Hope next year will be good for cryptocurrency.

In the extremely short term, I definitely see the $6000s as a possibility at this point as things remain bearish for the moment and sellers seem aplenty, though looking further out I agree that there's likely going to more action potentially after the halving occurs; I don't like to reference past patterns and events much, but Bitcoin's generally entered uptrends a while after halvings occur and I expect something similar's going to happen this time around as well. Excellent time to continue dollar cost averaging and accumulating coins in general too.

Libra could be like every other altcoins, it will just pump more money to the space and will later flow into bitcoin. it is assumed that every bitcoin investor will make profit in less than 4 years and it is not up to 4 years after the last ATH. Libra is the sole architect of its failure he thought he could use his pedigree to get into the space and rock it, he would have known better by now. The idea of halving is token economics, miners reward will be reduced and we dont see the amount of bitcoin added to space, will be halved. Bitcoin has not broken the ATH before the halving and system still maintains that. After halving we could set for a steady bitcoin rock and altcoin with good development will be back.

The current fall was due to the death cross where in 50 days moving average crossed 200 days moving average from above, thus many holders sold their btc in fear. However, the condition is just temporary and will change very soon. You shouldn't fear the rise/fall happen due to market movement because such movements are natural and healthy for proper working of market. You will see btc rising again very soon.

We are still in the early period of adoption, and I believe the crypto will really boom again, it maybe not in this year  but time will come when almost all countries will begin to adopt and will regulate the use of it. Some country are seeing its advantage while others are still closing their mind for crypto, but still we are just starting, so we should not lose hope.

What did you hear yesterday about bitcoin or related to this that changed your thoughts so much?
Btw yes, bitcoin halving is really promosing "event" to push bitcoin's price to rise and skyrocket and I'll explain why. Well, people couldn't imagine if bitcoin's price reach to 1000$ line again. But whuola, there was halving that summer and from 600$, bitcoin reached to 1000$, then 2000 soon, then it had some falls but still bitcoin didn't stop and it reached to 20K price, in two days it had 4000$ rise too.
So for these reasons, I believe that upcoming halving will be a gamechanger in bitcoin's further price and it will skyrocket again.

The chances that crypto will boom again is 50/50, the upcoming halving will not guarantee that the price will go up there are also positive and negative impressions about the upcoming events. The right catalyst for the market may appear out of nowhere but no one knows when.
