After what I've seen in last few days I am certainly sure Ethereum will not reach 1000$, not even close. If one cat's game can get on knees whole Ehetereum Network with 23.000+ pending transactions there is no way it will rise in price, secondly Bitcoin is mooning so quickly is an unbelievable and even controversial hack on multi mining pool - NiceHash with loss of 78 Million dollars (4700 BTC) can't stop Bitcoin rise. Until CryptoKitties are removed from Blockchain or there is a quick fix that will do something about pending transactions and bring back Ethereum network to normal speed ETH will only lose value.

I love crypto

With constant network troubles due to digital cats and Bitcoing wiping out alts its hard to see Eth and its toke s to rise to new heights. All Im getting is constant loss, couldnt even sell my eth before btc bull due to the network congestion..this is just plain depressing.

I do hope the Bears will eat up btc alive. It makes the whole market look like single bubble.

I do hope so that Ethereum will be able to reach more than that more than $1000 so that all of the investors will be able to feel the value. we believed before that this can be THE rival of Bitcoin and I am believing that until now.

I am not too sure about Jan 1, but I definitely have faith that ethereum will hit that number at some point during 2018. Hopefully we will see it surpass that price, but I think 1000 in 2018 is a safe bet.

FYI, Ethereum has only reached 400+ USD this month. So it actually gained a lot since it was previously trading at the $300 range.

Ethereum will go up a lot soon because it is so undervalued right now. Currently many people fear ETH's scalability because of the issues with pending transactions. Once the ETH team finished their scaling solution and proves to everyone ETH can handle massive adoption, it's price will skyrocket like theres no tomorrow.

If you have done to read all of the roadmap 2.0 of ethereum and you will be understand about that, First dapps already built in ethereum which mean the ethereum blockchain is having real usage in the future, But the only problem caused by the scalability was not enough to process the more transaction at the same time.

It is possible for Ethereum to hit that amount in 2018 but not as soon as it could be. As we can see, the price is increasing but not as high and not as rapid as bitcoin is. Definitely it will reach $1000 and will be over too, but first we have to be patient and try to hold our coins until the good fortune of Ethereum arrives.

We cannot absolutely say for now how the ETH ride is going to be like but one thing is that in the next few weeks, we should expect some huge run again. Although, it has really been blocked by a huge resistance for a while now, and it does not seem to last so long after a bull run. Even if it ends up attaining the ATH of $1000, there is a huge possibility of it getting dumped hugely after then.

So far, ETH has not really had a major run and even try to maintain the running position for a while now and stick to the value of the ATH it attains. $1000 seems unrealistic for now, but it is the crypto world and anything can happen. Like you said, if the Casper POS ends up successful that may drive some turn up for ETH but for now, we just have to keep our fingers crossed.

It seems ethereum's pace is slowing down a bit. People were expecting it reach 1k like start of 2018 but now it looks like it's going to take longer. Markets are totally focused on bitcoin now as it rises above 14k $. It is getting harder to make accurate predictions considering last couple of month's activities.

The best time to buy ethereum today because of the price downtrend. So far ethereum will not hit a huge pump this year ends. I agree it will next year ethereum will amaze us the time will come for ethereum to pump.

Ethereum is very stable right now lol. The price doesnt go up or down maybe because the platform is mature now so no random pump or dump. For long term I think this coin will pump to 1000usd because Ethereum is alway bullish, more incoming ICO will make the ETH price rise and they will fork to POS so more people will buy and hodl this coins so it will go to the moon for sure.

To me, ethereum will soar higher if they get their problems resolved in time, if they delay in resolving their wallet and transaction issues, new coins like Tezos, eos and iota may take over from it. It takes roughly a week now fo transaction to be confirmed on ETH network

Yes I too think etherium will rise $1000 at soon maybe in 2018 and every ico collect money with either btc or eth and from next year bigger ico s will made and bigger money will in business and it's growth and get high value .

Next year is more than possible, especially given that they are releasing some new updates to make way for proof of stake. In the short term however ETH has been a little bit dead and hasn't been able to rise along with the rest of crypto.
