There's no doubt in my mind that Ethereum will hit $1000, I'm not entirely sure about the "soon" part, but it will definitely get there. In my opinion this is something that we'll be able to see in 2018, maybe towards Q3, but this market is so unpredictable, it's very difficult to tell...
Ethereum hitting $1000 by 2018 is a real possibility. Just take a look at all the developments surrounding Ethereum and compare it to bitcoin? Ethereum enterprise alliance partnerships, code upgrades, meetups, etc., compared to Bitcoin's squabbles with bitcoin cash, drama, politics, etc. I always do wonder why Bitcoin is worth more than Ethereum.
I still think that ETH will be having a difficult time to hit $1000 soon because investors are not really persuaded to invest in this coin. Although ETH is being fueled by ICO's, I don't think this is enough to push the price to the 4 digit barrier. I would love to see ETH get to it, however, I have doubts about it.
Specially that ETH has a bumpy road after it reaches its all-time-high last June. After that people lost their enthusiasm after getting there. And now with the renewed interest once more, I assumed that it will go to the same motion again. It will take like a year for ETH to double its current price in my opinion.

Though Ethereum growth is fueled by ICO's and smart contract tech usage, a lot of it's growth is relative to Bitcoin growth. Some might disagree, but interpose the charts and look for yourself.
Support and speculation for BTC is strong, so I'm bullish on Ethereum as well. Ethereum has more real world usage than Bitcoin, but it will take some time for the world to make use of that.

It's true that ETHEREUM is on the top 2-3 list of alts in the market next to the popular Bitcoin. Ethereum price value is equal to 458.65 dollars a coin ranges from $454.88 - $461.81 as of Dec. 2,2017. But with $1000 prediction for EThereum yes it is possible but maybe not at this time and it will take some time to raise to that value. For me I think middle half of 2018 Ethereum will reach that high value.
hmmm i think it's quite difficult ethereum can break $ 1000 in quick time. as long as there is still a bitcoin fork issue, chances are that traders will stay focused on bitcoin hunting. unless the bitcoin price break 25k USD/BTC and the ethereum price is stable at 0.04 - 0.05 BTC/ETH. or when the issue of bitcoin fork has weakened, the possibility of the trader will aim at ethereum.
no its not really that difficult for etherium to reach that small amount value. if you look at the market chart of etherium thesedays it is still rising from time to time and i could expect that it can reach again a new all time high by the end of the week and sooner or later it can hit and break the $1000 dollar barrier. also keep in mind that etherium is mainly a long term investment therfor you cant possibly expect fast and quick price surge like bitcoin.

Yes $1000 will happen by end of January I believe. We should see $1500 - 2000 by end 2018
I think 1000 will be reached before January 1, 2018, although today this coin should cost from 1000 to 1500!

2017 has been the year of growth of Cryptocurrency. 2018, in my mind, will be the year of regulations on cryptocurrency. It will grow but not at the pace it has in 2017.

I have heard interesting comments about the potential that ethereum still has to reach a much higher price than the current one, and some of them place it close to $2,000 in a couple of years. As in any forecast related to the markets, it is practically impossible to accurately predict the future performance of ethereum, just as a year ago no one would imagine that bitcoin would be worth $11,000 this days, but I would dare to forecast the price of $1000 for ethereum in March.
What is your forecast based upon? Because if you look at the ETH/BTC chart, its value is steadily decreasing against Bitcoin. Ethereum's up in dollar value, but Bitcoin has doubled since October. Although Ethereum has a strong use-case, it's constantly cashed out for fiat to pay for the development of ICOs instead of being held in cold storage like Bitcoin. The only black swan event that could shake up things is the CME Futures Market.
I think the ICO hype will die down when people finally start to realize only 1% of these tokens actually have any use. At that point I'd expect to see ETH surge. But, we're certainly not there yet...

I think it will take some more months for ethereum to hit $1000. We need more bull run.

The price Ethereum is very stable when he high up he need more time. In coinmarketcap the price ethereum is $467 for bit $1000 he need five month and more five month.
Personally I think that in 2018 ETH will keep 0.05 ratio with BTC. But there is another guess - a lot of fiat value were brought to Ethereum platform during this year. Even if 5% of all this effort (mostly about trading and exchange) will succeed even more than 1k is possible (even if it will be not for a long term) and also ratios with BTC can change.

I see no compelling use case for ETH that can not be done with BTC sidechains.
While it might eventually reach $1K, this will say more about the worthlessness of the US dollar than the utility, real or perceived, of ETH.
