No, I think ETH price will increase because my local exchange people are suggesting us to convert to your Bitcoin into any other altcoin. So there is big chance for ETH to increase its price.

I strongly agree to this. ETH price have a high chance of going up as BTC will remain stagnant due to stop of its trading. But so does it might also remain stagnant also same as BTC and wait for the result of its update.

Most altcoins are traded off bitcoins, eth is no different. I expect a slow down in bitcoin spending come August first, to pick up later. For sure it will affect the volume of eth traded, but I dont think things will come to a full stop.

Waiting the decisive from exchange, maybe BTC and USDT pair will frozen, only Ethereum and Monero market can still trading normal (Poloniex exchange). I guess if this happens become true, the price of ETH and XMR will increasing more now

I dont think ether will stop trading may be it will increase the amount of transaction near august 1st and after one week . Ethere is already done with hard fork ETH and ETC evolved there is no point on stopping ether trading.

I dont think ethereum also stop in august 1 because ethereum and butcoin is difference and thats not affect if they have doubt in bitcoin in august 1 . Ethereum will increase for sure once bitcoin affected in august1 because many traders buy potential and ethereum they have so buy more ethereum instead of saying that ethereum also stop . We dont know what will happen in the crypto world on august1 but we hope for sure everything will be fine.

Only pairs with the Bitcoin combination will be suspended and the rest will continue being used as usual as there is no reason to have them suspended! Hope the ethereum network wont be congested during the bitcoin fork.Let us wait and see what happens

I think not, those who do the trading should be trying to get a profit of magnitude on the segments that occur on that date, many people are looking for opportunities to sell their ethereum while others are in a panic. And we know that ethereum is top coin for traders.

Neither ETH nor USDT are related to BTC in any direct technical fashion.
If an exchange does not stop trading in general (why should they?) those two won't be affected.

No, I do not think so, ethereum will continue to be traded in tether or other kind of fiat. There are many places supporting this kind of trading such as poloniex or coinbase. No need to waste your time waiting for bitcoin to finish its hard fork

Will ETH also stop trading this JULY 31st to August 1 UTC in exchanger sites? and will USDT be affected in this BTC update?

Etherium is separate from bitcoin and will not be experiencing and fork as far as I know. The August 1 issue only affects bitcoin.

The only affect could be a residual affect on price. People selling bitcoins could make all coins drop in price, or if people sell bitcoins and buy etherium, then the price of etherium could actually go up.

I don't see the second thing happening soon. Even with the fork, bitcoin's still strong.

This question is like asking what happened to bitcoin when ETH split to ETC and ETH, did people stop trading bitcoin? NO. Everything still goes as normal as nothing happen even exchange sites are only suspending the blockchain while every other thing goes as normal till when everything is clear about which direction to go. Maybe the fork will not even happen, who knows but everything suggests towards that.

Why,looks like newbies thread, flood of newbies activity specially about etherum.Even btc trading will ongoing, only withdraw and deposits will be suspended

The suspension of ethereum trading for this bitcoin action is totally meaningless like you said. Their blockchains are seperated from each other and this is known by everybody. Ethereum has nothing to do with bitcoin transactions.

You know that there wont be a hardfork on 1st august right? Segwit is approved.
BIP 91 just locked in. Up to 90 percent of all hash power signaled support for this soft fork, which implies miners intend, in turn, to trigger Segregated Witness (SegWit) activation. By extension, this should make BIP 148 obsolete and August 1 a non-event.
So dont expect something extraordinary thing on this date  Wink

Exactly, and more than that, many people sold alts with the fear of bitcoint fork. Of course the chains of ethereum and bitcoin are independent but it's incredible how bitcoin's trust affect all of the others. Now that the confidence is restored the money is comming back to all of them (at least to the strong and solid ones).
