There is possibility that this situation may change because ETH is so weak nowadays. But I think it wont happen.
yes I believe so at this point of time they are some top coins which are very down now hopefully in a couple of weeks the entire scenario will change and we can see the bull run.
as we know now Ripple has taken the position of Ethereum (ranked 2 in the coinmarketcap), and will this change everything in the future? My point is that Ripple replaces Ethereum whether there will be major changes in the future, such as whether all ICOs will use Ripple as a payment from their ICO to replace payments using Ethereum and all exchanges will use Ripple (XRP) as a payment to buy or sell altcoins on the exchange.

yeah,, ripple now replaced ethereum as the best altcoins,,
but, i think everything will not change, because this ripple become the second biggest crypto just for a while my friend.
soon or later ethereum will be back and become the best altcoins again
Hopefully Ethereum will rise again in the near future. Some time ago Darren Langley introduced Ethereum 2.0, which includes innovations including Casper and sharding, being built in a decentralized manner

All this can happen if the ripple is really ready to replace positions such as platforms and wallets to provide tokens to be made by ripple platforms, if so whether the ripple price will replace the ETH price if it can replace Ethereum because the price ratio is very far.

Certainly ethereum will get back the second place. As soon as there are some good news for ethereum again, hopefully it will get past ripple again. I do not understand why many people find ripple so good. It is exactly the opposite of what crypto actually stands for, but people forget that and only see their profit. 
With crypto use now every thing is changed but if we just think about the past i am sure that every thing will be changed and all types of monetary transactions will be handles in seconds with out any boundary or third party need just at your own account at home you can do transactions for personal use and business too. Crypto will make the world more faster than now.

XRP recently take place of ETH because of whole market's going down, and XRP is the only coin left that has big volume and price didn't drop as much as others.
Ranking might not be matters because ethereum has gone far than ripple did, eth holding a lot of altcoins is enough reason to still find eth around us for as long as it may takes. The change that will is the one we already experiencing right now its such a big change in crypto and still can't tell what's gonna happen in a week or month time to come let just hope for good.
although now ethereum is ranked 3, but it is very difficult to replace the ethereum position in every ico but if ethereum is always in the current position it is possible if XRP replaces ethereum in the future

Both are like presidential candidates I guess, users give opportunity for everyone in the race those who perform well will dominate as simple as that, ETH is very down now and XRP showed a good performance this year but still I think most of them doing exchanges in BTC and ETH itself, nothing is permanent here.
Not everything is so easy and simple! Everything is changing too rapidly and, I hope that everything will soon return to normal!
This year, the electronic money market is also crazy and crazy. I suspect that it could really happen in the future. Already quite a lot of projects have been released on the Ethereum platform. This is the most popular and familiar platform for ICO projects. I believe that Ethereum will be able to take its place, everything will change.
Surprisingly XRP got the 2nd spot again but in my own perception it will not last for long. Well, chances of getting xrp as a payment method would be possible as of now but yes we will never know what will happen next as this dump is unexpected as well.
Ethereum just dump but it does not indicate that it won't recovers and XRP will remain on this position. I do not expect that much on XRP that it will stand long buy I believe that it is good for trading than holding. As XRP beats ethereum does not mean that change everything because ethereum is more usable as it supports the platform mostly.
