Well, we almost made $1000 again, or if it did it was short lived. All the way back to to the $700's now. What a pain in the ass. Lets see if the census was correct here. Most people said it would definitely go over $1000 after the new year. Here we are.

I never used that bet site, but maybe I'll try it out. I think it actually will hit $100 before it hits $1000 again, if ever.

Wow, that is a stupid thing to say.

Opinions are like assholes bud, everyone has one. Deal with it.

It's super easy, no reg, just click 'NO' and send something to the address from a wallet that can accept money back (in case you win, which you won't Cheesy ). So shared wallet won't work, local electrum or multibit would be just fine. Right now, 100 mBTC on NO yields 296 mBTC.

There are only so many dumps left that the price will eventually have to go above $1000, as the coins will get scarcer and scarcer. Especially given how the Chinese are still vacuuming them up while they can. It'll become a miner's market again, basically.

When china reintroduces deposits I firmly believe the price will reach $1000+ again within that month.

The odds of this happening are very low in the short term, low in the long-term, and still under 50% in the long-term.

+1, Neither China or India are going to drive this.    Look towards those countries with less aggressive controls.

If things hold to past patterns we will see a bear market for awhile that ends in some length of sideways trading then slow steady growth that bubbles up into mania with hugh price increases then back down to well above before the mania started.  Will be interesting to see if things play out this way again.

So I'd say we won't see $1000 for at least a few month or more, but who knows what 2014 will bring.

People laughed when someone said we may hit $100 before $1000 again, but from what I'm looking at, it could very well possibly hit $100. A terrible low.

make some money on your understanding then: http://bitbet.us/bet/672/btc-will-hit-1000-without-dropping-to-100/

need some serious people with bets on NO there.
I'm with the majority here.

Bitcoin is global, and China closing their exchanges is a pretty big deal. It's not some small company voicing their opinion, but an entire government making pro-active changes towards bitcoin. This will set us back big time. People laughed when someone said we may hit $100 before $1000 again, but from what I'm looking at, it could very well possibly hit $100. A terrible low.

Bitcoin probably won't hit $1000 again because of sources.
Excuse me?HuhHuhHuhHuh?

I'd expect FUD from the trolls but not from you!

Whats going on here?

I'm pretty sure he was joking, just like with his Satoshi Secret Backdoor Code silliness.

Care to elaborate? Does it have anything with United States trying to regulate Bitcoin ?

I think his "sources" are trollbox permabears.

OK keep bashing bears. You can count your fiat profits while I count my btc profits.

Who's bashing bears?

Sell, sell, sell...

at least until I finish buying.
