The sweet thing about bitcoin is that you don't have to convince anyone that it is good. You just put your money where your mouth is and bitcoin will win the argument for you. I remember discussions like this with colleagues in 2011, where I was like "but shouldn't you buy at least a few, there is so much upside and you can only lose the money you buy for", and they were like "I just don't believe in the idea", "But surely it has *some* chance of succeeding?", "No". Hyperinflation in United states is not likely in next decades, it would mean worldwide hyperinflation, while no one gave fuck about Zimbabwe hyperinflation

I don't see why U.S. dollars will be much different in the long run. Bitcoin has some real buying power, people already count their moneys in the thousands of bitcoin mBTC and soon they will be in μBTC or millionths of it. One day, we may even be spending BTC in satoshis....
