With btc china and india, I somehow think that this will go up from here. A lot of new people are pouring in from those 2 countries. To answer the question, I don't think that 1000 is possible soon, but a consistent 200, I think that IS possible.

And the nice thing about the entrepreneurs, that we the savers are in supporting the value of bitcoin, is that if we make the wrong decisions, our prosperity will evaporate and we fall back to the ranks of the wage-earning masses, as we deserve.

The sweet thing about bitcoin is that you don't have to convince anyone that it is good. You just put your money where your mouth is and bitcoin will win the argument for you. I remember discussions like this with colleagues in 2011, where I was like "but shouldn't you buy at least a few, there is so much upside and you can only lose the money you buy for", and they were like "I just don't believe in the idea", "But surely it has *some* chance of succeeding?", "No". That was around $5, at $10 I could taunt him, after that it became too cruel to mention.

Well the bitcoin has reached more than 3.5M in Zimbambwean dollars.

I don't see why U.S. dollars will be much different in the long run.

There is a lot differences between Zimbabwe and United states, dont you think?

Hyperinflation in United states is not likely in next decades, it would mean worldwide hyperinflation, while no one gave fuck about Zimbabwe hyperinflation  Smiley

Well the bitcoin has reached more than 3.5M in Zimbambwean dollars.

I don't see why U.S. dollars will be much different in the long run. Bitcoin has some real buying power, people already count their moneys in the thousands of bitcoin mBTC and soon they will be in μBTC or millionths of it. One day, we may even be spending BTC in satoshis....

1 BTC = 100,000,000 Satoshis
1 hamburger is around $4
1 BTC = $153.3 (currently)
1 Burger = 0.02609 BTC or 2,609,000 Satoshis

Personally I like thinking in satoshis, It makes me feel rich as hell!

I believe last days incereasing of the price shows it has potential to hit 1000 sooner than most think. Maybe even this christmas - this would be wonderfull christmas present

My kids would be very happy that "Santa" has more funds to use this year. Wink

hehe, yes, think of what happens when decryption methods have progressed so much and bitcoin encryption is broken! what then?!?!

Sha256 can be replaced with better encryption if Sha256 can be broken one day. I dont believe it will happens, but there is such possibility

The bubble, which never fully deflated, could easily get inflated again.

What would qualify as the bubble fully deflating?

just guessing, but maybe we some healthy capitulation!!  Grin

The summer collapse to $65 looked pretty capitulationish to me. Grin
