They do it silently.. remember the ad ban by google, twitter and facebook? How many time in the past we heard about state interference from these companies. NSA, spying etc is just the top of the iceberg. They try to silently hide cryptos... Tell people it's dangerous (e.g. fed announcements). But when they will introduce their own "official" cryptocurrencies they will tell people that's the real deal, cause these chains they can fully control. bitcoin they can't.

I think also it's a matter of your citizenship. If you live in China, the government bans it. If you live in Europe, they can't, cause official they are "democratic" :DD

certainly not if no one wants to drop the bitcoin and make the value of bitcoin down and the Government will not ban bitcoin if no crimes in the bitcoin.

Maybe if it gets out of hand, the government will ban bitcoin. But the most likely thing the government will do is to regulate the use of bitcoin to avoid such circumstances. But more or less the government still cannot thread or touch bitcoin, because it has a wide spread and will be hard to reach.

Governments will not ban bitcoin but they will regulate exchanges, ico, and some other things,They all see the advantages of cryptocurrencies and they want to profit also. So they will have regulations in order to keep control and to tax the transactions.

Different Government different again his thinking. Depending on what each Government has thought about Bitcoin. If the Government does not like Bitcoin, then Bitcoin will be banned completely in the country. But if the Government still likes and receives Bitcoin, Bitcoin will not be banned and will even be legalized.

The Governments can only ban exchanges, if they are afraid of bitcoin, but it can not stop people to use bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized and borderless. it is a product of technology, nothing can stop technologies. there will always be ways for bitcoin users to gain profit under tied regulations.

I think we can't say yes or no. But for my own opinion. Bitcoin is a unknown? So why government ban it. Here in my country, many people arrested because of using bitcoin as a scam. Bitcoin help us to grow. So we need to say thanks to bitcoin.😇

I suspect the biggest threat is banks closing accounts related to cryptocurrencies.

A bank and state co-ordinated attack would probably be something like this:

1. Gov. bans cryptocurrencies, and hand out hefty fines or punishments. Maybe on the grounds of money-laundering, tax evasion schemes, anti-destabilization, or something like that.

2. Banks put in clauses that you can't use their accounts or services to buy or sell cryptos.

One will work as a deterrent to deal in cryptos, other will make it a pain in the ass, or remove incentives (i.e earning fiat via cryptos).

There are already a lot of countries who banned bitcoin, so there are no doubt that there will be other countries will start to banned bitcoin again. Goverments thinks that bitcoin is a threat because they are afraid that bitcoin will someday replace the current currency and banks will be removed. They do not know that bitcoin is very helpful in the economy because it givens people a good income and it reduces unemployed people.

I think many countries have banned bitcoin and many countries are receiving bitcoin I think the government allows accessing bitcoin but prohibits in direct transactions using bitcoin

I don't think they will want to ban cryptocurrency /bitcoin because of the technology, the only thing they will try to do is to regulate it so that they can have control over it.

No, I don’t think so government will ban Bitcoin. Why people are continuously asking such questions? The amount invested in Bitcoin is so large. It’s not easy to simply ban something which has such a high worth in the eyes of public. The investors and the public will never let that happen. The government can introduce some regulations in the crypto sector which is actually beneficial for the public.
