Governments will definitely not ban cryptocurrencies. They all see the advantages of cryptocurrencies and they want to profit also. So they will have regulations in order to keep control and to tax the transactions. The big problem is that cryptocurrencies will no longer be decentralized. Investors will think twice before stepping in and the price will not reach the heights we've seen before. Bitcoin yet to decentralised cryptocurrency, if any government think that this type of currency threatened their economical activity and can used for crime then they can ban bitcoin for exchange officially not any government can ban bitcoin for privately used.

Each country has a different attitude to the cryptocurrency, some see a threat and try to prohibit its distribution, others see opportunities and want to develop this direction!

These are questions that are inherent for some government when we talk about cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. Will the Government will really ban bitcoin? The answer is it depends. Why? This is for the reason that some government has futuristic mindset and some, aren't that technically comes to the idea of technological innovation, the government, together with its people should adapt this changes rather than banning it.
Some government do ban bitcoin because they cannot benefit with it as for the moment, as what I said a while ago, they do not know its capabilities, its future benefits.

It depends on each country, but most governments in Asia are always banned by the MOF. BTC is accepted only in some European and American countries.

Bitcoin has been announced since the day it was invented, and it will be suppressed by governments in the future and declared illegal currency. Is the basis, the further development of the currency will be in the interests of the threat to traditional monetary and ruler, not the rights to cryptography currency once governments announced that the currency is illegal, its price will produce volatile in the short term, and may even crash. At the same time, the government will force the bitcoin exchange to be shut down, so that bitcoin can only be sold in private, and its exchange capacity will be badly hit. Will the government ban bitcoin?

in some country it is possible since they consider bitcoin a threat to their economy. but in the country where the government have no control over the market system it is impossible to attain they can never ban bitcoin in any way.

it looks like bitcoin has no basis formal and authority to set, bitcoin prone abused for transactions illegal. money laundering, up to funding terrorism. so that entire transaction made region nkri required to use the Indonesian rupiah, circulation bitcoin also be illegal because there is affordable Central Bank, it has the potential to cause the inflation value. therefore, the transaction currencies virtual speculative this kind can also mangganggu the stability of the financial system countries.

such a reality must also be followed with the times that bitcoin is real and there and certainly affects banking and financial development, but the regulation of this should also be updated and properly addressed. indeed abuse is very vulnerable to occur therefore required regulation from the highest authority for this matter so as not to disturb all its.

Yes there is a possibility that government will ban bitcoin,  but I think it is improbable to happen. Here in Philippines,  most of the population didn't know bitcoin,  those who know bitcoin are actually aware of what bitcoin is and they know how useful it is.  Also,  the jurisdiction must study and they will ending up understanding that even though bitcoin is sometimes used in illegal activities,  it is just like the paper money which I think is not the root of bad things but the greediness and bad mentality of humans is.

well, it is impossible for government to ban bitcoin but it is possible to regulate it. government can make a law that can prohibit transactions and others but i doubt that government can ban bitcoin to the fullest since it is in the internet world. crypto currency and people such as hackers can easily bypass that prohibition of government just to access the crypto currency or another situation can happen like most of the residents of that country will change their citizenship just to access it. they will go to a country where bitcoin or crypto currency is allowed. which is fatal if that happened in developing countries.

Government can try as much as they want but will not able to ban bitcoin, if they could, then they would have banned bitcoin long ago. So I don't think it is possible as long as internet works bitcoin will work too.
It is possible, in some country bitcoin was already banned by the governments. Government can do this as long that they want but it will not be easy because users and investors wont let that happen. You are lucky as long as you can used it so enjoy and keep saving some of it for the future.

At my opinion would be very difficult for any government to ban bitcoin. Internet nowadays have many possiblilties and can't be controled that easily like newspapers for example.

There are already countries that banned Bitcoin exchanges as well as other cryptos. That maybe because of the volatility in the market which is a risk on implementing a currency which needs to be stable. Countries who banned bitcoin has their own reasons.

Probably they will ban bitcoin. They can ban anything they like, but bans are just legislation, not a modification of the reality. Enforcing a ban on bitcoin and crypto is theoretically possible but would come as such a low cost/reward ratio they would never do it. I guess  they would rather focus on other issues that come with better win potential like cannabis, money laundering or “terrorism.
