Ethereum will surely last a lifetime since it's the most decentralized altcoin in the world. But I cannot speak for the others, since they're fairly new on the market. I've seen altcoins come and go due to hype. Only a few coins which deliver concrete results to the public, are able to survive for quite a while. It may be tough to pick coins that will last for 5 years, since the crypto/Blockchain space is widely unpredictable. Especially when you're beginning your journey into the world of crypto.

I would advice anyone to "stick" with the top 10 coins in market cap just to be safe. Of course, market cap is not the only thing which determines a cryptocurrency's level of success. Mainstream adoption/market demand is what it's all about for any crypto project to succeed in the long run. Who knows what will be of the market within 5 years from now? Just my opinion

I bet no because we are talking about 5 years here mate and 5 years is such a long time. Not sure if your already aware that eth has a problem and its not fixed yet until now. If this problem persist for a long time I am afraid that people will start looking for a better alternative, which is why its wise to spread our funds now not only on one coin because we do not know what can happen with it.

ETH probably will but I am not sure for the other coins you listed. Some of them indeed won't be around in 5 years. Why take the risk? Just go with the safest one and chill. I don't see anything special with Avax, theta, luna and even polka. Cardano has been around for a while but even that is not as safe as ETH imo. Just get rid of all of them.

ETH is indeed the safest asset for long-term investment. kept it for more than 5 years I don't think it will make us regret it. it looks more certain than any of the other assets mentioned.
Polkadot and Cardano maybe after, these assets are good but for the long term and thinking to get big profits we don't know for sure. this year some of the assets talked about are getting hype. but doesn't give any guarantee that everything is good to last long term.

Yes! They are the most popular coins in the Crypto market including the most promising coins if you invest there, I believe the coins you mentioned above can last 5 years or more, Because apart from a fairly active community and quite a lot of investor interest.

I am familiar with all except THETA. Your portfolio looks pretty good, especially with 40 percent in ETH. I think 5 years is a very long time in this industry, so it's hard to tell who will be around or will remain a dominant player in say 2027. I don't think anyone here knows with certainty if all tokens in that portfolio will make it. That said, I like ETH (first-mover among smart contracts) and ADA (scientific peer-review), and think DOT (VC backing and scalable) will probably do well.

Sure you have a list that can even last more than 10 years and beyond I think but the issue will be those coins dropping in valuations and basically going serious bear in some time and others times it can go serious bull run so maybe try selling some percentages and take profit on the way up and then maybe buy the dips if you can afford to do that
