I’m interested to know why VR can’t match the gaming experience from consoles. I mean in VR, you are actually immersed into the game. You become a real character in it and not just staring at a flat screen. VR, in my opinion, elevates the gaming experience by allowing the player to truly engage in the game to a point that the player feels detached from the real world.

Yes of course it will. With virtual reality we can now feel the real life experience being part of the game.For some games we will be able to do physical activities as it requires of the game.

Definitely looks and feels real. I have friends who play VR games for hours. It’s like they literally get transported to a different world. VR is a dream machine for most people because they get to escape the real world and live out their fantasies. Have you tried it?

I agree! Playing games on flat screens will always leave you feeling detached. But in VR you get to be really involved. The experience is so interactive and engaging, you sometime forget it's not real. Cool, huh?

Speaking of tourism, I've tried those VR demos in travel fairs. Pretty impressive. I guess if we can't leave our homes or are trying to cut back on expenses, we can rely on VR to take us all over the world. How else do you think VR will impact the travel industry and beyond? Because clearly, VR applications can transcend the gaming world.

Yes, it is only a matter of time. We are bound to start seeing scale sooner than later. It's hard to imagine though what style of Virtual reality will become the mainstream. I am a fan of the travel tourism in VR argument where places in VR will allow creativity beyond possible limitations in this world that can create places people will actually go to visit.

You're right, man. VR's full potential can be achieved beyond gaming. I've read so many articles about how VR is being used in schools, hospitals and even retirement homes. Almost seems like the real-world applications are developing faster than the gaming aspect. Definitely think it will change the future of life as we know it. Not just VR, but mixed reality as well. Short-term AR will be bigger because it's more useful atm, but once vr becomes scary realistic people will probably be spending a lot of their time inside these worlds.

Actually, there are games that are pretty life-like already. Like with the oculus rift with touch controllers, you feel like you're actually part of the game. I actually feel like I'm in zero gravity when I play Lone Echo. It's amazing. And yes, more immersive experiences will surely come in the future!
