I can consider accepting 10 percent of my salary in the form of bitcoin and the rest as fiat currency. It is mainly due to the volatility that is keep me away from accepting my salary completely in the form of bitcoin. I try to set aside 10 percent of my monthly income as investment. So 10 percent of my salary as bitcoin is good for me.

Well, Bitcoin is mot recognized as official money or currency in my country.
It means that I can't have salary in the Bitcoin, even if I want to.
I also just starting my own online business and will accept payments in the Bitcoins.
So, from this business, indirectly, I will earn my salary also from Bitcoin.
Of course, still I will have to exchange this BTC funds to my own local currency.

Its not a smart decision to make to get paid in bitcoin in the form of salary, as if price falls tomorrow then it will affect my income very badly and I need to keep on waiting to sell them till price goes higher.

This is rather a tough question to answer because we are talking about somebodies lively hood on the line. So putting faith into a cryptocurrency is down right distrubing if you ask me. Because we are talking about one's standard of living as opposed to living on the streets if the crypto currency they rely on for their living expenses suddenly takes a nose dive.

Yaaas! I speedily rushed to open this thread because I so wish I could be paid my salary in Bitcoins. Let's say I earn $500/month as salary paid to my bank account, if I'm to be paid $500 BTC instead I'm sure before I withdraw the Bitcoins to my bank account I will have about $600 or more  Grin

Price isn't stable enough yet, I'd rather get a pay check and then buy some BTC with it.

Bitcoin as a salary will be way to risky and most employees will not accept it. The price is way too volatile and if it crashes people will lose their money a day. I don't think that the people will take the risk. People will definitely not trust bitcoin as it seems so complicated to all the newcomers.

I will take btc as a salary, only if I'm sure that the state won't impose a complete ban on their use in the near future. Most likely, it will become possible only when state regulation of this industry appears

If the annual salary was pre-determine in btc and was not subject to any inflationary expectations then yes I would accept it as I feel like the value will increase over a year.

No, because the value of bitcoin is not fixed even though the value of bitcoin may increase but it also may decrease. Therefore youre salary may increase or decrease too.

I don't want to accept 100% bitcoin salary. It's acceptable if you can decide the ratio of bitcoin and USD.

I would prefer to take half of it, cryptocurrencies are still volatile and if i lost money just cause my company paid in bitcoin i would be a little annoyed.
Oh, I see your point. While for me, I would be glad if my employer would pay me in bitcoin since its value is continuously growing. Yes, there are times that it dumps but comparing the value of bitcoin from the first quarter of this year to present, it definitely became high and chances are that it will be higher than its current price.

Personally, I wouldn't take BTC as a salary, I think its too volatile - I prefer to invest part of my salary into BTC as opposed to transferring BTC to fiat. If there is a massive negative shift in market conditions (maybe another MtGox) then the price may become too low and may have to rely on savings and investments to pay for living expenses, which also means you would have to have a diverse portfolio to counter a systemic shift in crypto, meaning that you'd have to transfer a lot of crypto to fiat for security.

I like to take measured risks and the risk of a salary in BTC would be too dangerous for me.

As a second income however, i'd be more than happy to earn bitcoin.
