Let's create a fictitious scenario where Satoshi sends a message in a way that can be validated/verified < PGP key > and he notify all of us that he is bankrupt and has no access to his coins.

If this is verified, would you send bitcoins to Satoshi, like people did with Andreas Antonopoulos?

We have seen people sending tips to Satoshi's known Bitcoin addresses and to date, bitcoin’s maiden address has received 16.7 BTC in tips, worth around $107 600.

Will you send bitcoins and if you do, why?

If you will not send bitcoins. Why?

I fell that Satoshi has enough Bitcoin to even want to receive more, perhaps sending a token amount to show one's appreciation would be in order, you could leave a message to him / her / them also via the Blockchain. Could be a cool thing to do if the scenario panned out as you have envisaged  Cool

If I knew his wallet address, I would throw some Bitcoins because this is a thank you to someone who created it. I know he will not need this because he's holding bigger things, but I still want to give this little thing to him as a thank you.

No, I'm not sending anything. Not to sound greedy, but I myself was never enough)I believe it is foolish to engage in donations, when you almost have nothing to share.Besides, it's not helping a homeless person or an old man.We are talking about the richest geniunely have the power to help themselves.

I think the biggest amount of people will not send their bitcoins to Satoshi, because of the goal: they buy them to earn by themselves.

I hate who ever sent)I only Have 2,I think if I give one of them .That anyone, especially me,better not be)))If I had a lot of them, then I probably would be shared)anyway,I think that is unlikely to happen.Since such a smart man, unless of course he actually exists, who came up with such a complex system, just will not be in poverty.

even though this is just fictitious, it is still difficult for me to believe it, sosiosi is not a fool, even if it really allows him to go bankrupt, he must find his own solution for bangkin without having to ask for our bitcoin donations, but if that is true and valid at that time I had more bitcoin so I would give it a few percent, just think of it as a reward, because he had created a coin that was so valuable and had given me many things

The proof will be difficult in this scenario, because I already said that Satoshi lost access to his private keys for all of the addresses that were rumoured to be his.

People will also not trust a message signed with a PGP key, because they say that might have been compromised. We can also not trust Gavin to verify something that only Satoshi and Gavin discussed, because Gavin has shown that he can easily be fooled.
Yes true.
Satoshi comeback will always be a complicated discussion and how to proof he is the real one in the real life and online... I won't hesitate to give a part from what I own in bitcoin but for sure not for Roger Ver and his pals.

What happens if Bitcoin is recognized as currency and trading globally?
I believe Satoshi will be awarded the Nobel Prize. And he will return to show us the value of Bitcoin recognized. Then if I own Bitcoin I will send to him as a thank you for the effort he made

No, I know he is the creator and developer of bitcoin but i don't know much about him. How can I believe and send my bitcoins to the person that I don't know. It is so risky.

I'd just like to send a message to him, or better still, have a chat with the man.

I don't think he's waiting for donations, but getting the chance to show appretiation for something he invented would be cool.

I wonder if we'll ever really know who he is in terms of him going public with an interview or statement about the very beginning of bitcoin.
That'd make a killer documentary

if verified that it's satoshi and he is bankrupt, definitely i will send bitcoin to his address, my reasons are i dont think anything is too big to donate to a man like satoshi nakamoto who invented bitcoin that has rescued and relieved lots of persons from poverty and starvation. He is worth every penny.

why not ? if ever i have some spare coins , yes i will probably donate some to his address but it is tough to know his address because rumors said that satoshi remains anonymous for now .

if someone claims that he is the real satoshi , then that is probably fake . he will only scam us in a way of donating bitcoin's  or asking for any money upfront .

but if he still insist that he is the real satoshi nakamoto , then he must provide a strong proof such as signing a message , etc ..

This can become very complicated.  Roll Eyes

Of course I will because Its my only way to thank him by creating and developing bitcoin. In fact we cant earn huge profit without the help of bitcoin. If he is the real Satoshi then that will be good because nowadays people used to tell that they are satoshi even tho they are not.
