"Seeding a game"Seed generation shall be distributed amongst players and hosts.To avoid bias, no entity may know the seed of others during this process.
Host seeds should be computationally infeasible to break. This can be achieved by making them large and using a reliable source of entropy for their generation (e.g. a true random number generator device). Besides that, using a long period PRNG is recommended.i personally am a big fan of messing around with seeds just for the sake of when you look at it to get satisfied!
there are some wild theories and storys out there about seeds and opinions about it..
if you understand some basic cryptography and can use a pdf and google calculator its not that difficult.
as cryptoenthusiast im anyways intrested how it works and which wires spark that magic inside. xD
mining on my own with different setups since now quite a while now probably also helps a little to collect the one or other idea how this lil maschine does what she does.. started with cpu/gpu then up to asics of almost every kind (one of my alltime favorites is still the GC3355 chip.. had alot of fun with reverseengeneering and almost frying them with overclock, voltmod and whatnot ^^, )
now trying to fully understand what magicspell to cast that a fpga exactly that does what you would like to.. but thats some different kind of randomWalkTheory combined with silicon-lottery but "all truths are easy to understand once they are discovered the point is to discover them."

Dear bitcointalk users!
We encountered a problem: a critical bug was discovered that allowed some of the players to get access to the server seed.
Unfortunately , the users didn't report the bug , but attempted to abuse it instead. Due to the fact that windice.io has instant withdrawals, our hot wallets were drained for over 3 bitcoins in total.
After we detected a suspicious activity , we temporarily turned the withdrawals off and contacted one of the exploiters , who refused to return the coins obtained by the bug abuse
and asked for a 1 bitcoin payment in exchange for cancelling his pending 2 bitcoin withdrawal and revealing the bug.
Clearly violating our Terms and conditions (12.1) :

2. Windice has a function to change the client seed only , without changing the server seed.
3. After the client seed was changed , due to the bug , some of the players were able to see the server seed in their past bets since it was identical to the one from the previous session.
