I think 80 million wagers is not as big as you guys make it out to be, its the time they have managed to hit it thats huge.

In the first place, do every site should aim for that? I do not think that any site would achieve that actually because there is not a must that on each site they should claim to have some wonderful wagered. This is not a competition for them but it is somehow a milestone that they need to have. So there is no limit time to achieve it, as long as they can keep on growing and make their players satisfied then this should not be a problem. And btw you can't compare on every site because on each of them should have their own ability to survive on gambling industry
