It is the business policy of Winz.io to trap the user in their KYC terms by offering free spins bonuses. Casino may request anyone to verify their identity on a min withdrawal amount too if they find fraudulent activity. But it isn't acceptable when a casino force user to submit KYC documents without providing any proof and valid reason. See this post, they have requested for all KYC documents. My fund is stuck there and I have no intention to play at a casino where the casino team apply shabby rules on their users.

My withdrawal amount was only 2.9 LTC. I have always played with crypto there and my withdrawal sum hasn't reached to the certain level which is mentioned in the KYC terms.

i thought most crypto casinos only ask for KYC in case of suspected suspicious activity, but trying to withdraw 2.9 LTC which is not a great value and asking for KYC is a huge exaggeration because 2.9 LTC is not a value for the casino to suspect of activity I suspect and you are already a customer who has been with them for some time, I think this is a move that the casino should explain if they are asking KYC for any withdrawal or are they asking KYC for a certain withdrawal and suspicious activity? anyway my advice: don't use the casino anymore unless you are KYC ready and maybe one of these days they will ask you to tell the source of your funds as a condition of making a withdrawal

We will never know the use of our KYC after completing uploading the identity card, but before using KYC then we must make sure the casino site is trusted and has an official license, otherwise a trusted casino will probably not misuse the identity card of gamblers for online black markets.
I never hear the casino sell our KYC to online black markets, if this is true we have aware to stay away from it. And, I'm sure WINZ.IO don't sell our KYC because this site has been 2 years on here and has a good reputation on the forum.
Not accusing the team on doing this but we truly don't know  if they are going to sell or not and being in years here does not justify their responsibilities and dedication so still not hold on that.

They may force anyone to complete the identity verification process without any valid reason. If you give priority to your personal documents (Proof of Identity, Proof of Address, Proof of Payment system), then avoid playing at Winz.io. They reserve the right to ask for KYC documents. But they trap the users to apply this rule.

Even though this has been discussed so many times before, I'd still like to adress your post.
Almost every single casino reserves themself the rights to demand a kyc verification upon deposit or withdrawal of a certain sum of money.

If you don't feel comfortable doing so, you should probably stay away from most online casinos.

I've had a bad experience myself using the free spins on winz.io but I wouldn't complain about such basics to be honest.

It's a trade-off accepted by the casino to protect itself from cheating coming from, or through the use of muti-accounting. The casino truly doesn't care about who you are or where you live, but they are forced to implement a procedure to stop, and discourage people from cheating and taking advantage of the service. Because a casino that's always been cheated regularly is a bad casino.

The question now should be whether the platform asking the KYC is disciplined enough not to sell or attempt selling those data for their profit.

Identity theft is always done by hackers, most time that site never wants to sell the identity and data of the customers the hackers take them by force, so if we are looking at how risky our identity is in a third-party system such as casinos and exchanges. We must look closely at their security and license to be sure they have what it takes to protect our data/identity. Most recently the news of hacking attacks and major exit scams have reduced to its nearest minimum and that goes a long way to show how clean the online space is becoming. Unlike like a couple of years back when hack attacks leading to sites losing data to hackers were prominent.

I believe that reputable casinos and businesses won't sell the data that they collect because it is against their principle and it will be just kept for their own purpose. But it's also common that some business don't think of their customers and only matters with how much profit they get. And as for winz.io, I don't think they're the latter and they've gained their reputation throughout the years organically and that's why if someone isn't comfortable to verify, better just drop it off and go somewhere else.
There are lots of casinos that we do have today for us to choose from. Some are really having that KYC and some who doesnt really need any of those and you could deposit and withdraw freely, as long you hadn't
violate something then you're good to go.Some people do really still give importance about anonymity thats why its always been preferable on looking into casinos who doesnt really ask out for some verification
or something in related to that.Winz does have a good history when it comes to reputation build up which they had been doing their best all of the years and its been a while.
Not surprising that they did really end up on positive and still going strong.
Not a surprise, marketing is good and the casino itself is good. It's just that there will be customers/gamblers that will make the most of them and will choose to pick what they don't like.
One of it is the kyc, they know how it works and why they're asked for.
If they haven't done anything wrong then that's going to be on them and they can freely do whatever they want as long as it is by the book and rules.

The casino may not do illegal document sales but there is always possibility that someone inside (staff) may do it for his/her own advantage.
Most illegal document sales are done by individual not by the company (casino), it is something that cant be fully controlled by the casino.
I'm saying it in general, not only for Winz.io because this kind of illegal sales may happen in any company even in a company that has been running for decades.

I think if a casino values its reputation, it will not sell the personal data of users. To be honest, I also don’t remember that Winz or any other popular casino presented on this forum is engaged in such things. Nevertheless, some users may still have fears and mistrust in the verification procedure since there are no guarantees that casinos or the KYC service cannot be hacked by hackers.

They already adopt having a level one verification to have another layer of security by this they can easily check different account abusers to their different promos and event like the free spins for the new account created, still some people would like to make sure that they are in playing as anonymous and if they play a large amount of money for sure withdrawal is become might issue to them.

Did you find it reasonable when they asked you to verify your identity? I believe you have seen the complaints of other users in this thread who was a victim of Winz.io shabby rules.
When I said that I have had a rather bad experience myself, I did not mean being forced to do kyc.
I got baited by the deposit bonus, deposited once or twice a week, wagered the amount like 1-2x due to the rules and withdrew my money.
At some point they banned me from receiving these bonuses because I pretty much always made a profit and they called that abusing the bonus system Cheesy
Therefore I stopped playing on winz.io since giving players a bonus and then taking it from them if they are winning money (following the rules) seems not right to me.

I would give you the same suggestion if you were in my position, but you would make fun of it. I'm active in online gambling before you have joined in this forum. I have played at numerous casinos and I'm still doing it. Winz.io is the only casino where I have become a victim of such shabby KYC rules. My withdrawal sum is a few hundred thousand dollars at other casinos. I have made a few thousand dollars withdrawal in a single transaction. Those casinos have KYC rules too, but none of them ever requested me to verify my identity.

Another big surprise is Zero wagering requirements to cash out. It seems like a dream come true for me to have all this together.

You need to make a x1 wager on your deposit to be able to withdraw, and that's a rule that you can see in their TOS. In theory you need to wager that x1 only on the slots game, at least that's what support say, but their TOS don't specify which games they allow for it.

In my experience, the way to wager that x1 was becoming harder each time, because at the start they allowed any games, but the last times it was only possible with slots, and that's from their side a nice way to make the customer plays more.

We a gradually moving away from none kyc and to KYC gambling, this is so because the rate of privacy in online casinos is lowered down these days and most casinos now have it written in their t&c that KYC may be requested at any point if the need arises, so think that before I register on that site I should be ready to give out my data at some point if I truly value my account on that site. Players from the united states are already familiar with KYC before they can have an account on any casinos that they won't be restricted on and there are already used to this kind of practice.
I personally think it's time we realize that we can not eat our cake and have it at the same time, we have to give up one thing to have the other which we need most.
The cyberspace is full of criminals of all kinds, scam and fraudsters who are everly ready to use online platforms (it can be casinos, exchanges) to carry out their notorious and illegal activities like money laundering, cheating and all sort....KYC is one of the major ways to discourage users from such activities or catch those who have indulged themselves in such activities, this also helps to protect the honest ones.

The question now should be whether the platform asking the KYC is disciplined enough not to sell or attempt selling those data for their personal profit.
