The main problem is, that most of people doens't look on altcoins as longer term investment. All of them wants to be a milionare overnight..
Don't be sad to have bought altcoins, now the new cycle begins and they will rise and blomish to new highs. Since BTC is right now probably a bit falling in the future.
I think the main reason is that he lost money at the auction because of his lack of experience. But yes don`t worry now is good time to invest in crypto again. I would say try to invest small amount of money.

It's not fair to say that Altcoins suck because there are many Alt's there that are doing quite a good job in what they are doing. We are already seeing several projects that are being launched or have already launched that are offering some serious value to its participants and the respective community. I actually think it's kinda offensive to say that. The fact that you bought some coins and they dipped, for whatever reason, doesn't mean that they are a bad investment, it just means that you're a bad investors because you liquidated/sold them after and made a loss. I think your chances to have a descent return are actually increased by a lot if you just take the decision to not sell within the next couple of years. Blockchain will grow a lot and we're still at the beginning, give it some time.
It's very funny how it's so scary to even invest in ICOs lately! It's either the whole thing is a joke or developers aren't responsive or just don't have the interest of investors at heart.

But some ICO tokens turn to shitcoins when the ICO ended. No trading history and no value.
Better to divert our time to trading as there are many coins now are getting ready for the 2018 pump.
Yeah it's risky nowadays to hold alts than to hold bitcoin but this is how the crypto world runs, full of risk and doubts and so the least we can do is to trust and have hope that we can profit.
Generally most altcoins right now are still below its price if we base it last June or 1st half of this year. I also lost lots of bitcoins but because I have decent % of my portfolio in bitcoins I am still gaining in terms of fiat. Learn from your experiences and you really need to diversify your investments.
i am not regret to bought altcoin because i still believe that altcoin will have the time to back increase although we don't know when the time is come but i think its still worth if we want to waiting. i realize that every altcoin will have decrease their price and while bitcoin is not yet reach the stable price, the altcoin is only waiting the good moment to trying to increase. but i think this few day, the altcoin is trying to back increase and we can see, some of altcoin is really makes a good movement so we can sell our coins to make a profit.

The same opinion here, they're extremely volatile and sometimes zero trade volume makes us die. The btc index value of altcoins are melting clearly during this altcoin crysis perion. I wish I had stayed in BTC and ETH fully.

Timing is very important while we are mentionin about altcoins. We can gain too much when we catch a real uptrend. By the way i wish i never bought Doge, lol. It was a big lose for me
Yes, I agree with your displeasure. Itself more than once was in a situation when it merged half of its capital on alts. But this is the experience and it is at such moments that you begin to analyze and move the convolutions, because when it is good then you are not worried. Correctly say that we must learn from a bearish trend. So do not be discouraged but do your work and analyze how to avoid or minimize such consequences in the future
Altcoins are great its just hard to find the right one...so get a big variety of different potential mooner!

I think if you want to get profit then you should buy altcoins now. This is the high time to buy more.If you buy now then definitely you will get profit. So if you are interested to get profit then i recommend you must should have buy altcoins now.
Choosing alts above BTC was the best choice ever, did put in about 6 projects in the beginning, 4 of them made from 2-3x in first 3 months.
Another thing that should be addressed is the ability to look on market and understand when to get in and when to reap few X from your investments and not be too late, that's the hardest part I think.

You were just lucky because this March all altcoins made at least 15x in short period of time. Nobody lost money, everybody won. But the market does not always grow. Sometimes the trend turn to bearish and stuck it for ~2 years.
If you don't take your profit and sell your coins you will lose your money day by day in bearish trend.
