Means you didn't do enough research and gambled instead of investing. My portfolio has outperformed Bitcoin by an order of magnitude and I didn't even rebalance during dips and peaks.

IF you invested on good coins...prepare for a major rebound once the BTC buyers start dumping BTC. It is a cycle (every major BTC news) that if you are lucky/smart enough to position yourself properly can give you enormous rewards.
I actually sell my best performing coins to buy the worst performing coins (amongst my pre-selected coins that I deem are all "good"). It is basically the "Buy low, sell high" mantra.
BEWARE, now is possibly the worst time to sell altcoins.

i have 8 btc in june. i played with altcoins. now because of the fork i pass with all my cahs bitcoin. it is only 3.8 btc now.
i lost nearly half of money when i hold coins or join icos.
i wish i stayed in btc

Amongst people here in this forum and around me that deals with the crypto currency, you are the first to make a full condemnation to Altcoins. Not all Altcoins are totally bad or has nothing to give at the end, where the issues comes from is when you didn't get what their aim is (if you got their coins through investing into their ICO).But if you bought this altcoin(s) using bitcoin, you still have to wait for a growth, cause it will increase when the time comes.

We all bought them on their hype and pump times, that's why we're hating them now. We better analyze the price graphs and market momentum to determine wheter or not it's a buy time for altcoins. Next time at least.
Yeah, the more pumped the coin was, the lower it dumps, good alts seldom go below 20-30%. Just hold it through this BTC bull run, i'm sure they all will bounce back.
There have being good appreciation in some of the good altcoins and also given the good rise with the bitcoin price soaring. But as usual people investing in any altocin before knowing the future, their vision, what their demand would be are struck with the prices at that level or may be down than they would have bought it. Sell it and invest in btc if you find it worthless to invest in altcoin.

Soooo many people who told me that they will sell immediately when their BTC pair positions turn green again. Market seems ready for the next altcoins season. But do not buy too early guys. Wait for an outperformance better.
Don't worry and just hold your ALTS they will recover for sure! But don't expect to much if you invested in some shitty Coins with no developement or not active team

You just made a wrong movement it seems, the wisest time to buy altcoin is when the hardfork is about to start, people will trying to dump their altcoins so hard that all will probably red and you'll get cheap altcoins, and then after that event ended, you will earn ez money just for holding few weeks. atleats thats my thought.

It was a warning to everyone. Investing in alts would definitely pay off later on.
Buy them now. If you have them, think about the buyer's mentality, they would definitely pick some up at this point so dont sell.

Totally agree with that , the resistance are strong, and soon the whales will realise its the right time for alts, and they already did, thats why it did't go lower for most of them, just need to be bunped, but if they do it now, they cannot buy more at a low price! some might to a 10x by the end of the year
Its still almost two weeks to fork. If it were to go to 7k now it would have to stay there for two weeks. Not gonna happen. I think its going to drop to low 5k now and then maybe next week it try 6k again.
I did a study recently on the real growth of some alts. And there are multiple alts that have grown linearily the whole year. You just have to look at the whole year instead of last week/month to see it.

Its all about time and patience just because bitcoin has had a pump recently does not mean altcoins will remain stagnant if anything this is the best time to actually buy more altcoins as btc is more valuable against the alts. You do not want to regret missing this chance.
Bitcoin is the safest area for investment. The value of the bitcoin will go up to 7,000 dollars.

FYI bitcoin is just getting started and I have no doubt it won't stop at $7000 either, time to buy more bitcoins is now. bitcoin made good money for people.

I think it is all about your knowledge and patience. I actually wish I would buy more altcoins even before around 2016. Altcoins were lot more profitable than bitcoin last year. You probably bought too late.
