Only brave people can hold it for a long time. People who can stand the challenge that comes along bitcoins way. Here in our place noone can hold bitcoin for a long time.
It is hard to calculate but there are some people whose don't even know and remember that they invested so since today it could be even 4 or more years.
BTC was around $300 3 years ago.
Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years and enjoy the amazing profit in this period
I think very few and only a few people from around the World can hold Bitcoin for up to 3 years. Because I'm sure if the price of Bitcoin has gone up, surely those who have Bitcoin will immediately sell it without waiting for that long. There are quiet plenty of them around here, as i have been reading here since before, there are few of them who claimed they had bought it when it was still cheaper, while some also just hide their identities and atill remaining quiet about their earnings. As far as i can still remember there is an articke about it, i just forgot the link just try to look for it.
Bitcoin is a form of cryptocurreny in which we could hold so that we could earn. And for me it is the best thing we could possibly do when it comes to have a way for us to earn and to have a profit with bitcoin. So we should always need to consider on having a part of our bitcoin for us to hold and wait until in reaches the peak of its price. 
Unfortunately when we measure the percent of how many people or bitcoin holder can hold bitcoin for more than three years is that only fifty percent. There are still panic sellers out there and more holders cannot wait and will gamble their bitcoin at a very low price because of in need and uncontrollable emotions.
A lot of people would certainly hold bitcoin for more than three years and I am one of them.
Actually it depends with self control and patience in waiting. For those who hold there bitcoin since from the start of bitcoin i salute you guys. You see they are enjoying the fruit of being patience because price become so high over the years specially the last years price. For those who needed the money badly then you got your reasons if you cant hold on. Its actually all you decision anyway.

And I am actually aiming to hold bitcoins and other altcoins for 4-5 years and compare its price when I bought it until it’s current price by then.
They are many in number and as you said no one like to share in public that how much bitcoin they have with then because bitcoin is very expensive currency and if they will share about it then it can be harmful for their life as not everyone can afford bitcoin after it goes at peak price. There are a lot of people who are very lucky to have bitcoin as bitcoin can make them rich and in my place there are more than 80% of people who bought bitcoin to save for long time and they are going to sell when bitcoin price will be highest price ever, so they are planning not to sell for 3 or 4 years and I think it is good strategy.

This would absolutely be the battle of patience on how long you can hold you bitcoins for the longest time possible. It is just they were also lucky in a sense because the value of bitcoins deviates upward more than the frequency it does goes down. And also, the it increase is much larger than what it actually decrease at times. The perfect example of this is how oil industries adds more price on their products compare on how small their rollbacks.
Many people hold bitcoin for a long time because they know it's profitable and they've made a lot of money out of it.

Because bitcoin prices are rising day by day, although today the value of bitcoin and other coins is falling in value, then people will save Bitcoin for years. They have many benefits. I think there are people who have held Bitcoin for more than 2 years. Because there are many people who have bought bitcoins cheaply and have made long-term investments.
That's a good outlook towards bitcoin. Though i don't think many share your views because if so, then probably btc won't have sudden panic plunges in value. People need to understand that it's not a short term one time millionnaire thing. Btc still has a long way to go.

I have never joined btcs and will never do so in future ever because i hate btcs too much -_-
You may be right at your own place but I think of bitcoin as the best way pf investing of money and that you also need to spare some time to study well about this crypto coin. If you will not make any investment in bitcoin, then the only thing which you will have in your life is the money which you have in your account. You will not be able to multiply that money or to have a chance of living a better life. You really need to review your decision for your betterment.

I think we can make some survey that will ask the people about how long they join in bitcoin world so at least we have calculation about how many people which still hold their bitcoin for more than 3 years. we can do on this forum or in other forums but I think it will be hard since I think only a few people that will join in that surveys.
I would have done it easily. I am now running on my 4th year of btc holding 
Holding of the bitcoin is the easiest thing to do and is in fact the most profitable thing to do as well but the only problem is not all of us are this much patient that they can wait for such a long period of time and at the end, they decide to sell all their bitcoins even if the market value is dropping down. You need to make yourself understand that holding is the only thing which can change your life and then things will be much easier for you to manage.
I think just a little hold bitcoin because they know that they will increase and may even grow people hold within 3 years they are really patient for the profit earn.

If it is suppressed I think it is very small. Possible only 10% of all investors who have Bitcoin. Because they will not be able to hold Bitcoin for that long, surely within 3 years the market price goes up and down once. Only people who have full courage can do this. But I really salute if any of you ever do it. I'm sure you who dare to hold Bitcoin as long as it must now earn a profit that many times over what you plant. My initial policy itself was not to hold btcs. rather continue trading btcs on exchanges and to people
My friend kept the bitcoin 2 years, he eventually sold it for the cheaper price and almost nothing is earned, I think he hastened, as in half a year the price has risen two times.
That's quite easy and I think I can manage that since I don't depend on my earnings here in crypto to support my everyday needs. The only thing I need to keep in mind is the reward I would reap after holding it for so long.
