The worst decision i've made so far concerning bitcoin was actually selling my first whole bitcoin when the rate was around the $400 mark.  Admittedly, i wasn't really a crypto enthusiast at the time, i sort of got it quickly.  I wish i had kept it because now it seems to take forever to be able to earn 1BTC due to price.
You can be pitied today clever and first of all even for not making an investment in Bitcoin a couple of years ago. Even then, as there was a significant increase in 2013.

well if you just hold it and wait until now you already have x3 or x4 of your investment btc really rising and it would take
so many big reason to fall down again, better to correct this mistake and try holding btc again and wait for more time
before selling it.

Three weeks ago I converted my Bitcoin when it reached the $1265 level...after listening to a friend's analysis that Bitcoin will fall due to the announcement from Bitfinex that they stopped accepting cash deposits due to their banking issues. Sad that instead of withdrawing in value Bitcoin instead made a big rally and is now heading to the $1600 level. Correction can be due but I already lost some money. I can feel that am not really so lucky with Bitcoin conversion and should have just left it in my wallet.
Oh so sad to hear this. Anyway this still is not a huge or non-recoverable loss. You still can buy it and make good money in it. The mistakes we make are sometimes good for us to learn. Though the fear you had about the BTC was quite a valid one but for you unluckily and luckily the prices are too good and not seems like going to drop soon.

The worst ever decision I made was losing the private keys to one of my online wallets. I didn't had a backup, and all the coins are now gone. I tried quite hard to retrieve the coins, but it is of no use.

I also wanted to do this, but the fear of loss stopped me. Now my coins are safe.

I once sold 5btc at rate $400 then i spent to get drunk with friends, because i was depressed. This is really a very bad decision

Yes, this is the worst decision. From alcohol will not be of any use, so you need to make purchases with ordinary money, and do not spend precious coins on such nonsense.

My worst bitcoin decision Ive ever made when I wasted my bitcoin into gambling, hyip and double site. Because when Im new in bitcoin I become addicted playing dice games, joining in any double site. And, turns out all into scam that I lose all my money.

I regret that too but it was an accident when I did invested to HYIP because I didn't know that they are just scams. And when that happened I was still new to bitcoin and I haven't thought that there would be scam like that which are existing in real life.

I, too, at the very beginning fell for such a scam, everything looked very convincing and I hoped to multiply my money, but in the end I just lost it.
This most of the time happens with the beginners to the bitcoin community. In the recent times the worst mistake that I did is selling bitcoin at $1600. If I have sold it today could have gained a bit more profit, as I expected the growth but had the fear of missing.

I think many people did this mistake not only you. When the price crossed 1500$, I thought many people sold their coins including me. But now we are suffering to see the bitcoin price it crossed 1750$ it almost 250$ loss. Who knows within 2 or 3 days the price will jump $200+ right. Now if price drops I will not sell my coins I will hold.

Yes, so did many. But I sold only part of the coins to get a guaranteed small profit, and the rest is waiting for even greater growth.

Yes, newcomers do not yet know that in this way you can lose money. And on gambling as I did when I started earning.

My worst decision that I made is when I ride along with the panic selling when the price was ranging at $600 - $800.

And we can see the price of bitcoin now and it's close to $1,800 so I did really missed a lot of profit because of that wrong move.

Although I got profit there already but if I was able to hold some more, today will be one of my happiest day.

And soon the price will be reaching at $2,000.

Good thread!  The benefit of hindsight, eh?!

I wish I had taken the decision to invest in Bitcoin when I first heard about it some years ago, instead of spending the money that could have been worth soooo much more now!

I also decided to invest a few years after the appearance of bitcoin, but I already managed to make a small profit. The main thing is to start.

My worst decision ? Hmm, probably selling 40 bitcoins on 200$ each

Probably it was a long time ago. If you had more patience and saved coins, now you could get a good profit.
