The worst mistake I made was selling all my bitcoins on a time the bitcoin was a middle priced, If I now look at the price I think it was stupid.
Due to the fact the halving is coming and it will sure rise the price to a high amount so...

Trusted Coinbase with their fake news pump and dump surrounding their Exchange launch.

Yeah that was nuts. They even put up that ridiculous rocket animation... an animated moon pump.  The insiders who accumulated right before the news broke must have made a killing.

I did believe them too, but in the end i did not lose any money. Problem with bitcoin is that even the most reliable companies can't be trusted.
Which is only in the world of bitcoin.

Gamble... When you don`t think about Bitcoin as money, you lose and never notice (until you see your wallet transaction)

Buying an altcoin and selling it for around %40 loss of investment money in less than a week of time, after that I stopped trading altcoins and understood it is mostly just bump and dump movements.

Probably gambling some bitcoins when it was worth $10 at the time, not saving any of them and exchanging them at that time for approximately the same price.

Forgetting/Losing my privates key and not having backups of them.

Well that is the worst mistake that I have heard since spending my whole time here in this thread how can you possibly access your bitcoin if you don't have a key

They haven't been recovered, lost forever.

This was a few years ago when I was just getting into BTC I had Bitcoin Core and never backedup my wallet.dat The sad thing is if I recovered the file I wouldn't know my passphrase.

That was very sad of you, did you try to inform the wallet management if you can get your access maybe it could help you recover it, if it not work then it is time to make a new one

my worst mistake was not buying enough bitcoin when the price was low at around $220. i should have bought much more than what i did back then. i was scared and bought so few instead.

That's not a mistake. Your analyzations just failed you.

You can still make some cover up after that failed purchase as bitcoin price is fluctuating and hope you did it already.
That I sold it to early and that is too bad. The most important is to have patience, without patience you cant have some profit.
And the value is now rising slowly so that will be good for those who already made an investment.

Sent some coins to somebody I was trading with on Skype without verifying them first on the forum.  Turned out it was a scammer and I lost somewhere around $150 in a matter of minutes.  Haven't been scammed since, guess that's a lesson you just have to learn the hard way..

Things like this is why I have trouble seeing large-scale adoption coming to crypto, unless it's in a form of the average person not dealing with it directly.  The average person wouldn't think that you would just be out all your money after sending it to the wrong person.

Worst mistake I made was getting on here and offering my services as an escrow and asking if giving a loan would build my trust.  How is one to learn if the information is not easily searchable by newbies.  Even when I backed away to learn more and understand where I went wrong, I had a (-) trust.  That's what you get for learning.

I AM A SCAMMER
March 02, 2016, 09:43:02 AM
My worst mistake was the one time I tried "day trading."  I following some random guy's advice on reddit.  He said that the price of bitcoin would drop just before Black Friday, and then would slowly rise back up until Christmas.  I looked at bitcoins history, and it looked like that's what it did the last two years, so I followed his advice.  As soon as I sold my BTC, it became very bullish and climbed way up, it stayed up for a long time.  I eventually bought my BTC back after it went down a little, but I didn't buy it back as low as I sold it at.  I haven't tried trading since.

I've tried the tips of a person. I tried to trade bitcoin. I want to say that the "buy when prices fall and selling when prices rise" is not always true tips. I tried to buy altcoin being dropped. but the coins were continued to fall, and never rise again
I lose more than 0.1 btc

Can someone explain what is meant by partially paid Angry? I could not find an answer dexcribing partially paid & need to know exactly what this means. This was all that was described in the transaction list. Lost a small amount due to stupidity. Thankfully is was not too much and I have become more careful.

Gambling is the bad way to earn bitcoin, i personally  do gamble only for entertainment, when i get bored then i play casino, yeah i was looking for some fun out there , the key is dont expect much from gambling, yeah you must remember, never put yourself in a position where you are forced to earn much bitcoin from them, you have to controll yourself if you win then leave it, just saying

Exactly, if you know the right time to quit, then you can win something, but if you get greedy and continue to play then finally there is no guarantee that you will make profits out of it.
