Can't ignore the similarities as well. Yahoo lost the battle, when it lost its market share to Google. Similarly, right now Bitcoin is losing a lot of its market share to alts such as Ethereum, Nemcoin, Litecoin, and Ripple (the Bitcoin dominance in the crypto-coin market cap has come down from almost 90% to 37%).

Who can say? Nothing is permanent in this world. Some will win, some will lose. Now, bitcoin is soaring high so let us enjoy it. If there is an opportunity for another coin, then grab it. Do not settle for only one coin. But, many of us believes that bitcoin will go further.

Being greater than the original or the old ones does not mean that the great will takeover or surpass the old one. There are several factors observed here and being great alone will not dictate that you are worthy to become the number one. In the field of cryptocurrency, the user decides who will become number one. Many are still supporting Bitcoin over any other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin just have to sustain and nurture the support from users.

Bitcoins is decentralized, it is not depend on the management of business like Yahoo search engineers
bitcoins depend on the ecosystem of bitcoins miners, developers and investors,
Yahoo search engineers has bad management of business, so they had been replaced by google
i think bitcoins would not ending up like Yahoo.

What a parallel you made between Yahoo and bitcoin is unbelievable, and I need to agree with many others that it's possible for bitcoin to end up like yahoo, that is a fact, with bitcoin anything is possible.
Internet search and possible currency are two different things, and even if its possible I don't think we will see this scenario, in our case bitcoin is the coin that needs to be easier to use, with more options then any other coin. I never used yahoo, I starter to use internet and google right away in my time, google was much better and easier to use.

That have possibilities but I think it will takes time maybe if there will be a new cryptocurrency that have a solution and more better that bitcoin just like the transaction is a instant in terms of sending and receiving that coin because in reality that is the only major problem of bitcoin and blockchain technology for me.

We cannot predict what will happen to bitcoin. But We can say that it could happen. It is not impossible. Bitcoin has some disadvantages that make your prediction possible. Problems such as high transaction fees and slow transactions should be solved. Otherwise in future It is possible that another cryptocurrency replace bitcoin and people will move to that. In my opinion this will not happen soon.

It could be possible that it can beat up by new crypto currency or maybe with the cryptocurrency already in the market. But that would take time. Even there were many digital coins out there, still all its price are based on bitcoin. No digital currency compared to bitcoin. It is the first and the most sought after digital currency.

If there are no innovations, solution and other something that makes bitcoins be better in the future
i think yes bitcoins will ending up like Yahoo be replaced by other altcoins,
but if the activation of segwit on bitcoins network is succesfull and never find the problem
bitcoins won't ending up like Yahoo.

I think it is a good analysis comparing the case of yahoo and i really think this will be case with most of the alt coins in the market,will bitcoin end up like that,it is really difficult to predict that, it all depends upon how the network will upgrade to the changing technology and i really hope we will see updates when ever it is needed.

It could happen for sure, because bitcoin is losing its position in crypto world. Some coins or tokens right now are being bought for ETH and about 2 years ago it was only bitcoin. From 2-3 years it could deffinetly end as yahoo Grin

I don't think that Bitcoin will just end up like Yahoo because we have continuous development and that makes bitcoin stronger and it will make bitcoin more valuable in the future. If we will continue doing what are doing in bitcoin (Continuing the development, supporting and many positive things) then we will not expect bad things anymore.

Bitcoin is not the as Yahoo. Bitcoin has its own quality that will last long forever. Yahoo still exists, it doesn't disappear. They will create for the better one to have improvements in our internet connection. Some company tries to beat one to earn fame and money. Bitcoin will live forever together with its high value. Don't bother yourself with thinking about that. If I were you, just relax and make money on bitcoin to avoid regrets in our life. That is the better way to do this. Yahoo and Google are just a search engine while Bitcoin is virtual currency. Do you think they are the same? For me, they were not the same. No gut, they have the same source but not the quality they have.

I think it's possible to happen since bitcoin may be garbage soon because of it's problem from the transaction fee but if they improved their services maybe people will stay on bitcoin. We don't know maybe some altcoins may appear that is much better than bitcoins services like google chrome even tho their services is good they keep improving their services so that people will not lose their interest to them.

I think that situation can happen. There's other alt coin with more advantages than bitcoin in term of transaction fee/speed and other things. If bitcoin stay at it is, i won't be surprised if other alt surpassed it.
