Cryptocurrency is not going anywhere that we should clear right now. Cryptocurrency will still be around for a long time even after the technology will go beyond blockchain. However right now there are a lot of banks and companies that use blockchain technology as a new improvement to the current system they have and they can use it without using any type of cryptocurrency with it. They are not hand in hand type of thing. Of course all cryptocurrencies as based on some blockchain however not all blockchain software has some sort of crypto backing it up. It is kind of like all thumbs are fingers but not all fingers are thumbs. The clear idea here is that blockchain is a new better technology and everyone uses it however crypto is not loved as much but when technology moves past the blockchain and finds something better the cryptocurrencies will still be around.

Call me cynical, but unless there is a material interest at play, nobody is very interested in innovating. Cryptocurrencies have opened the door for people looking to make money. The example of some of them having made serious money, got others interested. The desire to become also become rich kept them in the crypto world.

Yes. There are projects out there that are running and are built in blockchain technology but has nothing to do with crypto. As a matter of fact, I’ve read somewhere a certain post that suggests blockchain to be best used in the government to promote transparency and to minimize fraud and corruption. I believe blockchain technology will continue and will be widely adopted apart from cryptocurrency.

Actually, I would say cryptocurrency is actually dependent on blockchain technology since that is the technology which it is laid on anyway, but blockchain technology is a technology on its own, and with or without cryptocurrency, it will always thrive. We all know the rate at which blockchain technology can be applied to a lot of things when used in real life or implemented, most especially when it comes to transparency and accountability which is what would actually be disrupting the way things are done basically in most sectors and in this case, we are already seeing it disrupt the financial sector.
