There are lot of bug fight that is famous, cricket, ant, bettle and others but I don't enjoy that kind of game or gambling, its not excited for me, infact it's horrible to watch, its an animal cruelty and sometimes one of the animal will die or losing some part of it's body, its not entertaining for me
As for me per-say, i will not bet on any game that will not be entertaining to me as a gambler, basically, still wonder how such game will attract gamblers to gamble on just an insect fight. Gamblers seek for fun, entertainment and winnings when it come to gamble. If others will do, i cannot bet on insect fight.
Maybe in future, yes. After i research which insect is good to fight. 
Because i think insect fight almost like same sportsbetting on boxing or any other fighting match. That is why we must know which one is good or which one is bad first.

In such games I'll never participate, because it isn't trained to fight. The winning could happen to any one and it is hard to predict. Everything is supposed to be selected in a random way, so winning is completely luck dependent. This way I don't want to loss, better I'll go with more other common games that were available for us.
In my country, I see games with animals, and they use turtles for games. Who has a turtle that can walk quickly to completion, he will be the winner. You can imagine how long the turtle will walk

This made me think ... What would happen if this took a step forward and stopped being just a children's game?

this very new to me and I don't previously do it this type of betting but I know only one thing it will be more entertained and fun with it but this type of way to bet is like make your entertainment only not for making money San Juan Ants also known as Chicatanas

Why not? But it's my first time seeing this kind of insect fight when I first read the title of this thread I thought it's some kind of spider fight because that's what I'm familiar with... well I'll definitely bet if they would make a live insect fight and accept a payment of cryptocurrency.

In our country kids catch spidera and let them fight on a stick. You can also see adults doing the same and guess what, they are betting money with it. The question is, will this kind of gambling catch gamblers attention online?
Same in my country. I remember when I was a child, I earn money selling spiders to adults who use it for gambling.
I think, if men put bets on cockfights, they will also put bets on ants or spiders fighting. As long as it is exciting enough.
If there's a sportsbook or gambling website that start's offering market for this kind of event I would bet if the minimum is low enough for me.
When and where you gamble these kind of games? does the investors really like to invest these kind games?
There's no place where you can gamble with ants and if you're serious you have to look for an opponent IRL. OP is just sharing his opinion about the possibility of it since you can bet on almost anything. 
Its very common here in my place but its not consider as a way of gambling because its literally just for fun and for the pride. I used to play this before, and not just insects but also some other animal that are getting wild against their opponents, just like the spiders and the cockfighting. Its not cruelty for some people, but it really hurts now to see animal like this, i guess i’m old and matured now.
Insects fighting, I remember that way back when I was in childhood. Spiders, ants and even fish they have matches that we can make bet. But for me, that is not advisable to the children to play that kind of matches. That is still living things that we must respect their lives. However, there's a lot of matches that you can amke to bet rather than fighting insects.

This fight can only be a fun diversion. Obviously some will object on cruelty grounds but the main reason why not is the performance and ability of the insect is entirely unclear. You cant easily guage is the insect is in good health or not, its entirely unpredictable.

I remember betting on a house spider battling through sticks way back then. The bet would be our lunch money since that particular insect game is popular on kids. Its a 50/50 chances of winning though so its not hard to decide. We bet based on the largest ones but small ones really have some spirit of war.

on local happening but for worldwide i dont think there would be soo much attention it will gain.
From what I've seen this type of gambling can materialize, there's a lots of ways where gamblers really played even in a small form of gambling, same a like with spiders in some small town from where I live people already doing this occasionally, they are betting with spider that they've catched during summer and believe that it will bring them luck to win the bets.
This is similar to spider fight but only played by children in my place. They would search for a specific kind of spiders, put them in a match box and find and opponent with the same spider. This game is fun, children would usually gather around watching and betting on their spider of choice. The defeated one will be wrapped in silk by the winning one but before it is totally wrapped audience will be cheering and making noise for their bets. I imagine ants fighting are also the same but i didnt see same kind of ants fighting but only those that are different from them. If I would bet for ants, maybe for fun if it will not do me any harm.
Aahhh, the good ol' days, when I was a kid on my Country Indonesia, most of us are betting on a betta fish fight, I'd remember clearly how I asked my moms to buy the fish and the process taking care it carefully and patiently, and when its matured enough the 'judgments' days have come, we are betting on our own fish to be the champion. Damn man, this thread really gets me to the nostalgia.
