I was thinking why a game where you can play based on skills doesn't exist yet, similar to 8 Ball Pool but with BTC (currently available at iTunes and Play stores). What do you guys think? Would you play a game of skill and bet on it? I'm not sure why games didn't catch up with BTC, many could become pro gamers, just as there are pro poker players.
off course I would like to play that game with bitcoins. Before I played that game so many times i did not even think about this but it would be great!
I will play this game on my phone, but it is online game only. No betting site I found for this 8 ball pool game some one is telling some sites is allowing this game to play with bitcoin let's try now. But this game is pretty much exciting . Actually, I was addicted to this game but to come out now I am playing another game. But from this game if I can make some money means again I will start to play this game.

Good question actually i will play this game in in ipad but it's just fun game there is no income from that game. Yes if it add to skill base game means many people will play this game. But one thing how it helps to house edge i don't know here 2 players we need to play this game so if we bet any amount means it will go to winning person but house owners how they make profit i don't know.

Well there are sites where you lose to another player instead of the house. Bitcoinrevolver is one.

Unless you add a random element of luck (random spin, sudden wind in a direction, increased ball mass for less velocity) there is no way to get around bots. Captchas fail. Prompts fail. Anything can be macro'd.

You increase the risk of having people creating bots for the game which will result in a mayhem when it comes to fairness.. That's the reason I think this is not a feasible idea.

I think that will be great too, just like in online games many has multiple accounts that they use to cheat items, well OP will need a good programmer for this but he know how to make programs then I think he has a clue in what to do.

It's available on mobile both on Android and iOS platforms, actually Miniclip's 8 Ball Pool is the perfect example for my initial question and idea. I've been reading a lot lately about eSports and how they will be bigger than regular sports in 15-20 years, maybe even sooner. The only problem I see is regulation and security which I didn't considered and are serious obstacles.

I think we can all agree that this can only work if the even is on site. Bots and scripts will be too difficult to handle and eventually make a dent at the plaftorm and business as a whole.

I think you're having a hard time patching things up, and I think it is very difficult if some players has a cheat in your browser game just like other browser games out there that have been hack by many hackers you will need time and preparations for this to make security of players safe and your game user friendly.

Unfortunately, with Miniclip's 8 Ball Pool - a lot of cheats are EASILY found with a simple Google search.

I was about to mention this.

If the game involves easily with manipulating ways to win with a simple google search, then id prob not want to play from the start.

Anyone ignoring those facts, is just at risk hoping to not get cheated on.

Unless theres some thirdparty screen share to view each match? but even then, its questionable.

Sure you could get a thirdparty to view the game, but then fees will need to be introduced. Not such a bad thing.

I also think this is a pretty good idea, a some kind of moderator that keeps everything clean and can step in when something will go wrong.
Most likely its not always needed for low amounts of bets in my opinion it should not be needed, only for high bets.

That's actually a great idea, some sort of online referee or moderator that can ask some questions for each game and keep and eye on each game. But I'm sure that a moderator for each game would be very expensive to maintain.

I think I would do this because its fun to do and its also that you can than earn money with it, I think it also will be a whole new experience for a lot of people.
Another fact is also that it would be nice to do because its than only depending on your skills, no luck included.

i don't know how to play it but i am always open to new experiences if there is a learning page on the site.

especially when you say it is skill based i get more interested in trying it out.

http://www.miniclip.com/games/8-ball-pool-multiplayer/en/

It is like this game on the link try it and I think you will love it and if it involve gambling with it that requires payment or a betting on who's gonna win will be great added to the game that will try to use the skill of different players that uses bitcoin.

miniclip sounds familiar; is it a flash game?

anyways i will try it on PC when i get back home, thanks for the link.

Yup! it is a flash game, you can play all sorts of flash games there, that you can choose but that pool game is the most interesting out there and I think OP can get some idea from this game.

OK Good luck in playing and have some fun.
