Yo fella, I have a 6,500 kh/s rig standing around. If you are intrested just give me a holla.

Thanks for interest. I'm in the middle of transforming payout model to post-beta model and I wouldn't like adding more users at this moment, not before I finish automated payments (I still do them manually). Please be patient a little bit more. I'll send you PM when I'm ready to open for everyone. Thanks!

Hmmm Well after 20 minutes i switched to another pool, maybe that's why i didn't see the diff change.
I'll point my card at your pool for this night and see how it goes.

Can you tell me your username so that I could check what was wrong with vardiff?

PMed.

Vardiff works just fine. This is a log of times and difficulty of your shares submitted after you connecter earlier today:

Code:
2014-01-10 16:01:33         256
2014-01-10 16:12:48         256
2014-01-10 16:13:25         256
2014-01-10 16:21:49         256
2014-01-10 16:21:52          16

...

You got initial difficulty 256 as everyone. After submitting only four shares within 20 minutes, you were switched to difficulty 16. Later I needed to restart the pool app so you went back to default 256 and then were switched to 16 again.

Keep in mind that you really don't lose anything while temporarily being on a higher difficulty. You might submit one share per couple of minutes but this share is worth more. With lower difficulty, you have more frequent shares but they're worth less. In both cases you'll earn the same if measured in a longer period. If you plan to mine for only an hour or two, then you should care about low difficulty. If you plan to mine for day/days, then it really doesn't matter. I could setup a fixed 512 with no vardiff and you would still be fine and earn the same during the whole day.

Anyway, vardiff works fine.

OK, i temporarily switched to another pool, your vardiff isn't working, I have been mining for 20 minutes and I got 1 share, it's too hard for me to get shares on diff 256. All shares with lower difficulty cannot be submitted, so I rather have my diff at 16 or at least 31.

Usually it keeps changing every few minutes to 10 minutes, right now it reports as 1.06M, but sometimes it can go as low as 5K.

Hmmm according to CGMiner, I got a share that had a difficulty higher than the network difficulty, which translates to a block being solved.
I assumed your pool was simply pointing the hashrate at other altcoin pools.

What value your CGMiner reports as “network difficulty” at this moment?

EDIT: Your pool is completely down right now, except for web interface.

Update: Pool is back up.

As I wrote before, this is work in progress. There was a downtime between 15:54 and 15:58 (UTC). Sorry for that. Thanks for reporting this, I'll investigate logs to check what might cause this.

i found 3 blocks, and earned next to nothing from them :p

Not sure if you understand how the pool works.

First, I don't think you are notified that you found a block. You only solve shares (which are at much lower difficulty than actual blocks that being mined) and what you are notified is that you sent a share and it was accepted. Usually there are thousands of shares from several miners before a block is found.

Second, you're always paid according to the shares that you've submited. This is how a pool works - several miners try to solve a block collectively and then the payout is shared between users based on amount of work that they contributed (number of shares * individual share difficulty).

Oh alright. By the way, can you give us a list of the altcoins you switch to?

They are the most profitable coins of course ;-)

Lol... Im having stratum disconnect problems right now, and by the way, i found 3 blocks, and earned next to nothing from them :p

I know that, but just so you know, i have a crappy GPU, and it eventually sets me to 16, but sometimes it just fails and sets me to 256 and i barely get any shares.

256 is the initial difficulty after I restart the pool application (happens couple times a day). You should get to your destination difficulty within 10-15 minutes after reconnecting.

But you don't need to worry, as 256-difficulty share is worth 16x more than 16-difficutly share. So you earn the same from 1x 256-difficulty share and from 16x 16-difficulty shares. In the end, you always earns the same for your hashpower. You don't lose anything because of this.

For everyone wanting to join: sorry, this beta is closed now. I am just a day or two before finishing this software and I don't want to add new users at this moment. Please be patient and I welcome you very much as soon as the pool launches. I'll let you know!

I would like to say, this pool is quite good. By the way, I would like too add an option for us to set the difficulty.

I don't think that there's a need for such a feature since the pool supports vardiff. It means that it adjusts difficulty based on your hashing power and tries to setup difficulty for each miner so that it submits on average four shares per minute (in the range of 16-512).
