Isn't there a bitstream out there that achieves 305Mhps per LX150 (BitFury?), or is that vapourware?
Has anyone been able to get the x6500 to work with eldentryls TML. If so are you able to post some instructions.
The TML now ships with built-in support for the x6500's USB interface. There have been several success reports.
Please use v1.52 or later; there was a bug in the x6500-USB-support code in 1.50{a,b,c,d,e} that would cause it to get stuck and stop mining.
I'd love to buy more, but at a profit of about $15 at the current difficulty/exchange/power$, it just doesn't seem like a good idea.
nobody has seen them yet...people have been buying, but no one has seen one working and mining for bitcoins...but so many have paid... 
i'd never heard of acis either but they are coming in december .... $599 for 36gh/s !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that sounds tempting even with the 25 drop .... hummmm

Great machines, with excellent support. I purchased a few new and a few used, they all run great. I dont think the asics will be coming out any time soon, but I could be wrong, as I am not sure...but because of being unsure, I am not buying any more right now, but if I did it would be another x6500.

I quit mining about 10 months ago because it was hardly worth it any more for me...
was only mining with 2 HD6950's....
So if I bought 2 of these boards and got 800mh/s.... even with only the odd 36W
bitcoin probability calculator say it'll take me ....
Hardware break even: 1 year, 143 days
Net profit first time frame: -562.21 USD
for a 6 month period and 50 btc/ block....when it drops to 25 its not even worth running the
calculations !!!
any thoughts ??

the block rewqard just halved (a few hours ago...) to 25 btc per block, and with asics being developed and even supposedly delivered next month, NO FPGA is worth purchasing. or video card, for that matter. heck, if i paid for electricity, i wouldn't even be worth RUNNING my vid card right now.

The issue is the mpbm miner does not seem to work in WinXPx64. Well it works, but the problem is the website http://127.0.0.1:8832/ does not open so there is no way to configure mpbm under winxpx64. The error I get is "The XML page cannot be displayed".
Bare in mind that whenever you connect to 127.0.0.1 in your browser, that you are communicating with your own computer, not a website! 127.0.0.1 is the IP address that resolves to the computer it has been addressed from, and the :8832 is the port that you are instructing the web browser to have a listen to (the ports are a software construct that allow the computer to handle multiple network traffic between multiple remote machines). 127.0.0.1 is commonly referred to as the "loopback" or "foldback" address, as it's just a network path that leads straight back to your own computer.
My recommendation would be to switch to linux as your main OS, I noticed a pretty significant drop in both rejects and invalids when I did this. It's a hassle to learn your way around it, but well worth the effort.
Try Google Chrome.

Running mpbm with chrome on winxp x64 just fine
Has anyone figured out how to run a x6500 on Windows XP x64? I have tried everything (for months) and can not seem to get it to work.
To get around this I've run my x6500s in a Ubuntu VM running within VMWare workstation with fizzisist's miner. This has worked fine, the issue though is every few days VMWare drops the USB connection, its not the x6500, it is VMWare.
So I'd like to just get the x6500 to run on my base machine which is WinXPx64.
The issue is the mpbm miner does not seem to work in WinXPx64. Well it works, but the problem is the website http://127.0.0.1:8832/ does not open so there is no way to configure mpbm under winxpx64. The error I get is "The XML page cannot be displayed".
Has anyone run into this and figured it out? I've spent hours on this with no luck.
Again the x6500 work fine with fizzisist's miner under linux so there is no H/W issue.

haven't heard about the coming ASIC's from several vendors, have you? from what i understand, fpga's would have a tough time competing.

I use the Enzotech’s CNB-S1 Heatsink for mine, you just need a 80mm or 120mm fan depending on your setup to move air over the board. Case and point:

If you dont mind me asking, what kind of return are you getting from a setup like this? Very interested in setting a FPGA system up however may wait for the 25btc per block changeover and start producing my own FPGA cards just for internal use... Hoping there will be a bigger spartan chip available 2013.
Why haven't you guys jumped into the ASIC game like a lot of the other FPGA product makers?

Has anyone gotten the TLM bitstream to work with a x6500 board? I tried the instructions on the TLM website, but without success.

There is another thread that is dealing with this problem (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/500-btc-bounty-for-opensource-bitstream-that-is-faster-than-tml-still-open-112303), if MMQ can get it working, it would be no problem for TheSeven to get it working for X6500.
