No online wallet is safer then running a full node client on a clean OS when you have three backups and avoid using USB sticks or SSDs.
Why full node? IMO, a desktop wallet would serve its purpose without having to back it up every hundred transactions or use a lot of resources. The seed could be written on a piece of paper laminated and placed at different locations. It would probably not suffer a hardware failure. Anyway, there isn't any disadvantage to using SSDs for wallet.

Xapo is secure and every online wallet is safe if you use a strong password and don't install any software that has a virus or click on phishing links. It's much better than blockchain due to the ZERO fee and the 2FA makes it completely secure.
You are right about this if you are just using them and do not do something stupid nothing will happen.
Some also got a 2fa way to login and you can as a secure measure also use this.

Xapo is totally safe in overall since i use it just make it sure that we activates the 2fa so it make more secure but the problem there isn their costumer support theirs sucks my last xapo wallet is been locked and i send some tickets to them so they can fix it but untill now they didnt respond any single words to me, but since theyre doing good wallet service provider i keep using xapo since they give 0 fees in every transactions.

I also use XAPO and also ordered there Debit card so far didn't face any problems. With the mobile app you have 4 digit code protection and when you send Bitcoin by website they ask 2fa code found in mobile app. Only there customer support isn't the most fast one and sometimes it can take ages before they responding. Also they don't block people for gambling big plus something Coinbase not aloud.

I have been using Xapo wallet for almost 2 years now and never had a problem. From Xapo to Xapo transactions are also instant, besides you can order a debit card and spend your bitcoins anywhere you want. It is really usefull wallet. I am using it mainly for my faucet list service. I keep the most up-to-date instantly paying Xapo faucets list and if you wish to have a look at it i would be very happy. www.bitcointime.site

Good luck!  Wink

So, i'm just starting out and I got Xapo in order to collect some satoshi to play around with. I was wondering if Xapo is safe to use? It lets me instantly transfer money from faucets to my wallet so I don't have to "collect X amount before cashing out". I've heard that online wallets can be insecure, should I get a safer (desktop?) wallet and transfer what I collect there, or will I be fine using Xapo? Thanks!
Yes, we can say that Xapo wallet is secure.
But they do not let users see their private keys of Bitcoin wallet, so it's still risky as wallet.

Without fees on blockchain wallet transactions are very slow, so if you want faster transaction, you have to pay fees. Xapo pays transaction fees, so users can send bitcoins for free. And transactions are fast. And I think in Xapo you also can use 2FA.

It is safe. Its free fees feature is really convenient, but I warn you that you might want to bear in mind that their support system is quite hit-or-miss. If you go to their (as the title said) official thread, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/to-contact-xapo-support-please-use-our-faqs-httpssupportxapocom-902526, you'll see so many people complain about their tickets not getting answered.
Me myself was never experiencing any trouble with my account, so I never have to taste their help desk. So far, my experience with them goes smoothly. So I think as long as you have no problem with your account either because your phone goes AWOL so that you cant do the 2fa method or your debit card got eaten by your pet or something alike, you'll be fine.

The safest way to store your coins is in offline storage where you can control your private keys which is the opposite of xapo and the other online wallets (well some of them give you your private keys), you could loose your money when it turns to gox mod.
I recommend to send what you earn from time to time to a cold storage  Smiley

Well first of all let me start off by saying that faucets are not really that profitable to use. That's why there are so many faucet owners nowadays. Having cheap impressions on ads is very profitable for themselves, not you.

But yes, Xapo should be safe for now, but anyone can pull a runner.
Xapo is good for faucet earnings and it's just the start. Nobody can make a living from faucets but they'll at least get to know what bitcoins actually are. Xapo has a license and hence it would be tough for a Xapo wallet to be shut down compared to Blockchain. They can not run away with our money.

Using couple of months still don't face any problem and Xapo have a great feature they don't charge fees for sending transactions. As being a small trader saving transaction fees really helpful for me.
Well I am agree with someone said "do not put all coin in one wallet".

https://www.blockchain.com/

This is free and i've used it for years now. Very simple and easy to use. Plus they have an app to link your phone to it.
Oh really i am using blockchain.info from start .com and i haven't heard much about blockchain.com are they same? Huh

Have used xapo before but have heard they need ID and details after you reach certain limit of transaction. I love blockchain.info and electrum.
