I just registered the first non-dev delegate Smiley

My name is Barie, and i've been interested & invested in Crypti form the IPO. I'm not that active on this thread, but more so on the official IRC.

It does not have any vote's at the moment , so i ask the community to vote for me, lots of vote's are needed to gat past the Dev's own 101 delegate's.
I plan on running 2 Delegate's, both run from a VPS in a datacenter, so enough bandwith and uptime.

Barie,

We want to avoid spamming this forum with "vote for me" posts.  Max has made a special topic on our own forum.

I will vote for you once there are more delegates to vote for.  Casting votes cost 1XCR, irregardless if you vote for 1 or 33.   Thats why I will wait for a few more to register.

The release of Chronos

Finally we can announce the release of v0.2.0 alias Chronos. Besides various bug fixes and speed improvements, we introduce our new consensus mechanism with it. It's called DPoS (Delegates Proof-of-Stake) and it is suited the best for our later releases (Dapp Store). At our blog post An introduction to DPoS you can read more about DPoS.

Our latest blog post shows everything you need to know about this release. If you encounter any issues, then please post them to our Helpdesk. We will happily help you out with them. If you want to become a delegate you can also ask in the Helpdesk.

Thank you all that you waited the whole day. We were very busy all the time and it was quite complicated for us all, as we are living throughout the whole world. Some of us are awake since 24h, but we think that it was all worth it! Smiley

Edit:

A few more things about the Forging and Delegate features.
- It costs you 10,000 XCR to be a delegate
- You need enough votes to get into the top 101 to actually forge and earn XCR that way
- It takes a maximum of 17 minutes (one full round 101*10sec) to see your votes

Promote your delegates

If you want to run a delegate and need more votes, you can make a thread at our official forum. We made a new child board only for this purpose.

http://forum.crypti.me/viewforum.php?f=17

It is very important that our own forum gets more love from all of you, so we can create a nice ecosystem for Crypti. Smiley

btw, can delegate node be run behind NAT? Huh

WHY?
Because my home comp is behind my ISP NAT Wink
Someone said about 101 in an hour...  Grin
Tik-tak Roll Eyes

10 seconds a block, 101 blocks per cycle......... thats about 17 minutes per cycle counting possible offline delegates.

Its very close to 400 blocks an hour.
101 non fictional delegates Roll Eyes
Where are they? Huh

Once you have installed the node, you can see the delegates in the delegate tab.

I want to buy some XCR,But the price is a little high,
What do you guys think about this coin ?

You must be kidding Smiley Just take a look at the market cap, Crypti is somewhere around 50th place surrounded by Bitcoin and Litecoin clones. It's gonna be in top 20 within a couple of months and in top 10 soon after it.

What do you guys think about this coin ?

Now that we have DPOS started, there is no place to go but UP!  We are uploading the new nodes for Windows and MAC shortly.

At the end of this year, there will only be a few coins that will be TOP LEVEL.  All others will either fall away or be considered LOW LEVEL coins, or Second tier, and only used for trading for other alt-coins.

We will be one of the few TOP LEVEL coins, with real world applications.  We aim to be the  "go to" place for running DAPPS on the Custom Block Chains.

You will see this unfold here in the next few weeks and months.  Our Roadmap is posted on the OP.  Our competitors have taken great interest in it, you should as well.

Hey Crypti Community !!

Can anyone please guide me on how to create a provably unspendable burn address?

It should be obvious, for example it could contain a lot of consecutive X's.

Will appreciate your kind help.

bump

Hey, you can send it to the genesis account. But right now we are still in the transition to v0.2.0. We are creating the clients for the different OS now. Smiley

This is the genesis account: http://cryptichain.me/address/5776140615420062008C

Thanks !

How the transition to v0.2.0 will effect the genesis account?

The genesis account is a snapshot taken of the block chain at about 0700UTC that was used to start the block chain for 0.2.

Does the old block explorer still work?

I want to make sure my stuff is where it should be  Cool

Looking forward to seeing the XCR team push forward and conquer new lands!

v0.2.0 update notice

Good morning Crypti fellows. Smiley

The transition went fine without an issue, the new blockchain is up and running. We will run some basic tests now for the next 1-2 hours and then we are able to launch.

We will post the client links here as soon as we are ready. Please remember to not do any transactions on the old v0.1.9g branch.

Thank you and I will update you, once we have something new to announce.

http://cryptichain.me Check it out. Smiley

Spot on, look at those blocks popping out and timestamps. Really fast!

While we are running the tests not all delegates are online, so it can happen that a block comes after 20s instead of 10s. Smiley

Yeah, it could happen, saw that in the blog "One round equates to 101 blocks. Blocks on the Crypti network are 10s on average. If a delegate fails to respond during their designated block, they will be skipped and the next selected delegate will essentially secure 2 blocks and a block could be extended for 20s."
