Just sent a mail to Bittrex urging them to add Crypti, as Cryptsy are basically gone and Bter.com really can't be trusted.

Are there any other exchanges worth contacting?

Poloniex is good. I believe a couple of years ago they were hacked and lost a fair amount of bitcoins. I think I lost around 0.5 bitcoin at that time. They paid me back and everyone else as far as I'm aware and they have been smooth sailing every since. I've used mt-gox, cryptsy, bter, btc38, btc-e and some smaller ones and right now poloniex is my go to exchange. Although I did get hacked (email) and lost 1 btc worth of crypt/bitshares from polo exchange they were apologetic but said it was my fault for not using two-factor authentication. Which seems fair.

For me, that most important exchange is poloniex and XCR had the chance to be on. We need to create volume and rise will come naturally after that. My 2 cents !!
We've been on polo for quite some time. You can visit the page here https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_xcr

From Cryptsy blog:

"These are the approximate figures taken:
Bitcoin: 13,000 BTC
Litecoin: 300,000 LTC"

Does that mean no XCR was taken?

Also, what is going on with BTER? And, quite frankly, why the hell were people still using BTER?! There was a huge issue with them right at launch (were they not the very reason XCR had such a shaky launch??) and BTER has been hacked multiple times in the past... why does anybody trust them and still use them??

They didn't disclosed if XCR were taken or not. We don't know it. Maybe they lost it on another way, nobody knows.

Bter should work normally right now. Why people were still use/trust Bter, I don't know. Smiley

In a way, Crypti saved me a lot of money.

A little while back I decided I was going to see what I could do to get the XCR wallet fixed at Cryptsy.

I contacted them and got the standard "we are waiting on the devs response".

So I continued to press and made sure that they were in contact with a dev. I went on to ask multiple admins including Horus, Jshock and Mullick to check on it. I got told by each they would look into it and then never got anything despite multiple emails directly to them.

I succeeded in getting them to acknowledge the issue was not with Crypti but with them and they changed their responses to "we are updating the wallet. Please be patient."

Eventually, they all stopped responding to me on the issue even though they could offer no real reason why the wallet was not fixed. I was banned once for suggesting it was possible the real reason they weren't fixing the wallet was because there was no XCR. (I now think we know that was probably the case.)

It was at this point back in December I decided to bail. Their inability to explain the issue or contact the XCR devs when I copied them on emails with the devs proved to me something BIG was wrong. They were not simply unwilling to help, they were avoiding the issue entirely.

I only had about 4.XX BTC worth of coins on cryptsy so I started carefully dumping and pulling out with DOGED. Unfortunately, one of the only ones that I did not dump was about 20k XCR but really, I'd traded that up from 10,000 so I really didn't lose too much of my total XCR. My total BTC est right now is 0.25 on Cryptsy so compared to some, I'm doing alright.

Any news here ??

Yeah were losing a lot of xcr due to cryptsy stealing it. Unfortunately this can destroy a struggling coin.

Yes, it's there. I've confirmed it. I'm relieved.

I sent my most strongly worded email yesterday but I remained calm and fairly polite.

I respect the fact that BTER has had some big big problems but they've made good on them most of the time.

That's great! Smiley And yes, I agree with your opinion about Bter. Smiley

I received an email this morning that the issue with XCR at BTER was resolved and sure enough it's there.

Interestingly, the email from BTER it was right under my Cryptsy phishing email. Crypto is so exciting. Smiley

Yes, after a long time Lin contacted Boris and told us that he has a problem with an API call. As far as I know Boris fixed it with Lin. So you have your money back?

So you're telling me that people that send XCR to BTER are screwed or wait longer?

Wait longer, write their support, tell them it's not OK. Crypti has a long history of bad exchange behaviour. However, in most cases things were getting fixed, because we wrote them so many times. You can definitely do the same, and I think sooner or later you will get your XCR back. Smiley

OK thanks. I was actually just writing BTER again.

They are at least still responding to me. Cryptsy started ignoring my inquiries altogether regarding XCR a long time ago.

For me, that was when I knew something was wrong and I pulled most of my BTC/LTC out in time.

I'm still hopeful but between this and Cryptsy, and all the others prior, it's just getting old. I'm not trying to blame you guys, I think you do a good job and I take responsibility for all my actions in the crypto world.

You still should be screaming from any outlet you have not to send XCR to BTER until this gets fixed, if this gets fixed.
