Guys remember that DRK is far from perfect. The masternode forking disaster from last week still hasn't been resolved and the developer is tentatively looking at mid june for a possible roll out solution.

"Development Update - 5/30/2014

Fork Causes and Solutions
Over the last few days, InternetApe and I have been collecting data to help recreate the problems we experienced with the last hard fork...."

Read about it here: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/development-update-5-30-2014-fork-causes-and-solutions.994/

Q "So to be clear... paying masternodes has been moved to mid-July?"
A "Mid-June. July we'll have the privacy enhancements and other functionality."

What I gather from that dev update is that they are able to find causes for problems and fix them without having to call in loljosh which is a plus in my book.

Could we take these conspiracy theories outside of this thread?

It's 100% speculative and irrelevant at this time.

It's just taking up space and opening room for more fud and dung.

It's not irrelevant. Someone mined a huge POS stake with an ABSURD hashrate and most people aren't even staking. These things *should* interest you, but I won't dictate your own thinking process.

And...?
What are you/we going to do about it?

We are JUST starting to lay the foundation of this coin, more of it will come.

What coin/world/life doesn't have a few players winning the game? Ex: DRK (Instamined)

Bet the traders have loved the past 24hrs.  Constantly moving between .0018 and .0024 thats an amazing spread to keep flipping.  Wonder when the trend will be broken?

AlexGR, NSA mining XC? Do you also own a lot of ConspiracyCoin? This is the most absurd thing that I have read recently. Next thing you gonna say is that BlackCoin was sponsored by the Obama administration.

If you are in the anonymity business without being paranoid, you are in the wrong market.

NSA is rooting every single device and software and controls every single network. Yeah, they'll leave cryptocurrencies alone, sure thing.

Btw, is it more absurd than saying NSA buys DRK masternodes? I've heard that a lot.

Happened that many miners switched to X11, and new miner boosted hash for 50% and more. I had 47MH/s, now I have 68MH/s. Count that every serious miner did software upgrade, and we have 50% more hash now than we had 7 days ago with same HW.

i did not even update lol. I was still mining at 2.5 mh per r9 290. Damn.

Update n u will be surprised. But AMD is behind the game(Unless some serious update done on mining software. It seems AMD card full potential is not used yet). My cheap GTX 750 ti gives 2.1 Mh/s and My r9 290 gives 3.6 Mh/s and their price and electricity consumption is huge difference. I am going to add some gtx 750ti. I believe with GTX 750 ti its still bit profitable to mine X11(It is not as though much left to mine. lol). I have not count electricity consumption of GTX 750 TI but what I see from MSi afterburner seems to me 35-40w(shows 75% power usage).

Well if private groups can do this for bitcoin why not for altcoins?

For those wondering where these huge hashrates cone from its very simple.  Sites such as nicehash are becoming very popular and it is incredibly simple to transfer in bitcoin to them and rent out huge hashrates. If you don't know how they work miners point their rigs to the site, renters pay the site to point the miners to a pool with the renters credentials.  The miners get paid in BTC, the sites takes a cut of the renters BTC and the renters get whatever coins were mined.

C'mon man that's silly. First they don't have 200 k GPUs. Second they don't wait for you to rent the gear to plug the rigs in. They mine in the meantime.

Dat ~600 GH hashrate dissapeared after XC. I haven't seen it in DRK or any other coin. Maybe it's very expensive to run. IDK.

I'm not necessarily saying thats where it came from but look into it before you call it silly.  Nicehash.com currently has 16GH of x11 miners available for rent and that is just 1 site.  they are constantly mining to the highest bidder so there is no waiting.  Pretty genius by the creator really.

When NAUT relaunched I rented 300MH of scrypt for days and made a lot.

I was around for the mass hash rate increase on XC...I think what happen is a few huge farms saw XC PoW was coing to an end(there was about 1000 - 2000 blocks left of PoW I think at the time) I think they saw the price of XC was sitting at 1 dollar...and there was mass money to be made by directing mass hash at the coin.  The PoW stage was shortened by Dev around this time due to realization that some miner is raking in the cash...he was goingto hold large stake for sure.  So the block height was lowered, reducing the coin supply for XC and thus shortening the time for PoW stage so the miner would not profit as much and hold as much stake.

That is what I seen... happen..good luck to you.

I received this message " Not minting because you don't have mature coins"   Huh Huh

Normal if you've recently transferred coins in. You have to wait a while before it starts. Usually around 24 hours for me but YMMV.
Thank you. I just withdrew my coins from mintpal  Grin
