REV2 was released over a month ago and there is still no linux/mac client.
is this coin a windows only coin or will there ever be a release of the linux/mac client?

it sucks to get the answer nearly two weeks ago that the client for linux will be released in a few days
but except this empty promise nothing happend.

That is not true. SDC is not officially "in" until publicly stated otherwise by their dev team and community which is not the case right now i'm afraid
#

Did you just create that rule? It's not your call.

SDC are in. In fact, we've been in communication with them the most. We were chatting on Skype with Rynomster and others during the announcement.

Now drop this, for heaven's sake!

Uh oh look like this guy is after you guys tail now. He can spend days/nights talking non-stop
He's something. Just warn you.

XChat is a potential bombshell and since it has already been under development with XCurrency and was already theoretically 100% owned by Xcurrency owners it is a special case. I think XCurrency owners should get a very high percentage of ownership in XChat and then a smaller percentage in XC inc. Something like 80% and 10% would make sense to me.

and the same story like everytime : mini pump on news and then dump again.. i cant imagine, how we will go very high in price like everyone are saying, but i still believe   Angry hope to see some price movement till new years (AND OF COURSE REV3 , BECAUSE IT WAS PROMISED TO REALEASE IN AUTUMN 2014)

All coins are currently battling for the same users in the crypto community.  I don't have the statistics, but based on the price of BTC I would say the crypto community has probably shrunk over the last year.  Every altcoin scam reduces the community by a certain amount so all the altcoins are fighting over a smaller and smaller user base.  XC, will not go into hyper pump stage until the community grows by a large amount. the real world is using them, or every altcoin user dumps their other shit coins and moves their money to XC.  I think we are way off from any of these things happening.

It wil depend on how much shares will be given to the XC holders for XC inc, since there will be a public ITO and shares will be bought in BTC as well.

So it would depends on how much share of the company XC inc will want to share with the XC holders as XC inc will not get any profit from th ITO from XC bags.

It might be tot coin supply minus the amount that was not possible to buy for XC holders, hence the pre-mine. so do the math and we can have a percentage.

I think we need to determine a percentage first and then do the math to make it work.

yes but how you determine the percentage? complicated...maybe just 80/20% and we cut the head of the bull

Dan, can you confirm that Xchat is a part of Xcurrency and any benefits from Xchat will go to Xcurrency owners and not Blocknet or XCinc owners?

That is correct to a point, as one of the potential functions of XC Inc would be to have a legitimate corp structure in replace to reward xc holders if XChat was sold off...    So XC Inc holders would benefit directly from that sale, this is why XC Holders are entitled to a share of XC Inc itself

Will current Xcurrency owners have their equity in XChat be diluted at all by the creation of XCinc?

While I think there is some risk in minor dilution, but that is the cost of doing business and also bringing XChat [and potentially other s/w] to market

I was under the impression that XCurrency owners also own 100% of XChat currently. Is that true? What percentage will they own after the creation of XC inc? Not counting any additional XC inc shares they may buy separately from what they receive automatically as XCurrency owners.

The final % hasn't been determined yet and I am interested in getting your thoughts on it?

Thanks

Dan

Thank you and Synechist for your replies. I think there needs to be some discussion about this also. XChat is potentially a billion dollar app and I hate to lose any equity in it. On the other hand, it will be nice to have a cut of every other app that XC inc produces. I wonder what other XCurrency owners think.

I agree, and having XC Inc also increase's XChat's value and provides the framework and foundation for getting that Xchat deal

since it is possible to run Xchat without owning any xc before xc inc you didn't even have direct equity in it. with XC inc shares you would  have for the first time. of course xchat usage would also fuel XCurrency price but that was the only connection before XC inc. . with the ito comes actual ownage of the chat itself.

That's true of course, and now we're trying to determine what is the appropriate percentage of Xchat ownership that XCurrency owners will get.

If the premine was used to fund xchat development, then 100%.

You're right that XChat owners own 100% of XChat, insofar as "own" means that its value is reflected in XC's price.

After the creation of XC Inc, XC owners will own both XC coins and XC Inc shares, effectively getting a 2-for-the-price-of-one deal.

Now let's consider what would happen if XC Inc sold XChat to a third party:
- XCurrency nodes would still have XChat.
- XC Inc shareholders would get paid their share of the sale of XChat.
- The third party that buys XChat would use the XCurrency network to runs XChat, driving up adoption.

So perhaps the percentage of XChat XC holders will "own" here will remain 100%, since they'd still have use of it and the value of XCurrency will still reflect XChat's value because it runs on the XC network.

I think its pretty funny if you look at this whole project of XC from day 1 till right now from an outsiders perspective when compared to most alt coins out there. It's almost what I would expect to happen in this world IF a uber competent dev actually joined and wanted to make a massive change and is capable of doing it and isn't a copypasta cloner, or PR team pumping and dumping their bought cloned coin.

If you joined crypto recently and researched a lot of coins and what they offer to what they delivered, divided by what they promised, XC has taken just about every good thing in crypto and advanced them and then some in the shorter amount of time.

It's like Dan has taken the best ideas from alts after seeing how much they are lagging for their investors in regards to development/tech/drive/direction and has then been improving/finishing it and adding it to his network.  Thats a pretty ballsy move right there on its own to take on. So far its all good

My only concern right now as I haven't researched it much lately and its easier to just ask sometimes, is I hold XC, when the XC Inc ito is offered - do my current xc coins vanish when they convert to XC Inc coins ? or buy in then I hold 2 coins ?

Then I can hold blocknet coins - so in total 3 coins will be in place ?

no they do#t  vanish. you hold shares and all coins you had then still.

What Dan has given here to the cryptocommunity is the biggest thing since the blockchain itself.

it just has to grow for people to understand. XC privacy function is still the best and stands unique so like i expected it to do good on the "old" internet i expect it to do just as good on the Blocknet.

I hope to see new coins join quickly and widely. imagine all doge wallets having the xbridge. dem fees.  Smiley

Hey hey. No you keep your XC coins and get XC Inc shares for free in the process :-)
